@impl!,

you felt the pick up dropped significantly with 5 people on board!
Now, that's a sad news for me. I am finalising on 1.8Tsi simply to have a fast car. Whenever I drive my friend's vRS, I am thrilled (even when we are 5 on board).

Do you think Laura 1.8Tsi is slower than Octy vRS (in 5 passenger scenario) - this would certainly be a deal breaker

Anyone who has driven both Octy vRS and Laura 1.8Tsi - can you please comment if the 1.8Tsi is as fast and thrilling as the vRS?

Please.........

A.R Petrol has a lac off, I dunno about the diesel. No waiting period for the cars. If your dealer doesn't have stock, it should only take him about 10 days to receive it.

cheers!

Also, is there a waiting period for any of the above?

Thanks, AR

Hi anand,

Nope, trust me, you will still have fun driving the car, even with 5 people in the car. I can't compare with the vRS which unfortunately, I have never had the opportunity to drive :(

I really cannot understand why the TSI is only in one trim level. It would be great to get it in the L&K trim - really would be just amazing to have.

Read in some other forum that they are soon going to launch it in the Elegance trim. But most of the people in this segment might prefer diesel because they generally sell the car in 2-3 years and diesel commands a better price than the petrol.

By that logic, there would be no sale of petrol cars at all.

The 1.8 TSI is just a really great engine for the Laura and the Jetta, far superior to the Skoda/VW diesels - just a shame the car comes in such stripped down mode.

Prashant,

The elegance trim is close to two lacs more than the ambiente. For this, you get leather seats, wooden trims, climatronic AC, 16" alloys and 6 disc cd changer. Everything else is the same.

Now Stanley Leather seats are Rs 45,000 and 16" alloy upgrades are Rs 20,000.The close to 1.3 lac rupee difference is not worth it IMO.

Last month my dealer sold 60 Lauras of which 2 were L&K, 5 were elegance and the rest were ambiente. So if this is any indication, then Skoda will hardly sell any petrol L&Ks even if they are re-badged Octavia vRS II.

Cheers!

The thing that looks best about the car is that one can partially view the hood of the car. This gives it a really nice feel !

The music system is really nice, in-fact its the best stock system I've heard, even beating my cousins 1.8 optra system !

Which system is it?

Okay, I was expecting a Bang & Olufsen or something of similar sorts to come as stock system with Laura.
