. Did you have to push the dealer to make the car available for 1.5 hours of test drive? Such a test drive would be crucial is getting to know the car better. But I read in other threads that Honda dealers are comparatively very finicky about the test drive duration. They usually give for hardly 30 minutes.

kartho, this RTO stamped certificate - is it something Huber Optik has obtained for all their products or is the certificate specific to your car's sun film installation? How does one get this certificate?

Thanks sbraj !!

With Vinayak Skoda, they went out of their way to ensure we were choosing the correct car with no reservations in our minds. Even though they had a really important function where they were unveiling the Superb V6, they still kept the car, driver and sales executive back.
I think we could have asked for several such test drives and they would not have hesitated. Even the earlier test drives were all 30-45 minutes atleast. On one of them, my brother, cousin and I scared the living daylights of the exec by ripping the engine for all it was worth; anyone doubt the 0-100 kph in 8.1 s? well we tested it, that and the braking power of the car!!

Not all products of HO are certified, HO have obtained RTO certification for the ones that qualify and based on that they issue a certificate which has a pre-printed seal "RTO Approved" and mentioning the product code. I believe all expensive sun films like VKool issue this certificate to avoid getting penalised by traffic police. My dad was using a certified sun film of VKool but forgot to keep the certificate in his car on a dark winter day in delhi and the result was 25k worth sun film was torn off by the traffic police in addition to the fine.

Also i think HO is the only company giving a 10 year replacement guarantee for sun films.

Imp!, it's really helpful reading your review abt your buying experience. I also felt Vinayak was much better than Tafe when I was searching for a new car during Oct 2008. Vinayak simply pampers you!
Congrats on the new car, it's a dream machine! Now can we have the pictures of your car, specially the alloys?

Congrats and welcome to the (as yet) tiny TSI owners club in team bhp!
I can well believe the 8.x sec 100kph dash, though I am waiting to cross my 1500 km run in, to test that out. I tested the ABS and brake assist today when I almost banged into a queue of cars at the toll gate in the night , coming in at high speed. The car steered crisply while stopping with the brakes pulsating . Felt brake judder too ( not sure if that's typical) .

You forgot heated front seats (a blessing during monsoons and cold winter mornings),remote folding of ORVMs and wider 205 tires. I have a feeling i have missed out something else. BTW can you get Stanley leather fitted aftermarket on the door panels, handbrake, front and rear armrest, etc. as well?

Congratulations on the right choice. Drive safe.

Okay you got me,

They do have heated seats but really come on, who on Earth is going to use them in most Indian cities? especially south of Maharashtra?
Yes they do have remote folding ORVM's but again considering that you only get wooden trims, remote folding ORVMs and heated seats, I still feel that price is just not worth it.
Yup Stanley covers it all up for you !!! incidentally the hand brake, steering wheel and gear **** for all trims have the same leather wrapping so I didn't touch those.

Is it true that the beige colour is not available for the Tsi? Other than the alloys/tyres, leather, tints..have you put any other accessories?
