I have the faux leather seats from ford. They are ok (quality wise).

I have black ones and they become very hot when parked in the sun and sticks when you sweat.

I am sure you will get better seat covers outside.

Also With the ford seat covers I have noticed that the seat contours in the seat that made the seat comfy and snug fitting become less visible. :Frustrati

I suggest that you take the car without the seat covers, see the existing seat and then decide on the seat covers as an after market option.

I have had my Figo Titanium for more than 1 year now. The standard seat covers are really hard wearing and look good. Even after a year of usage, they look good as new.
The seats themselves are very supportive. Seat covers will spoil the contours, and maybe give you less support.
Seat covers not recommended. You really don't need them.

This is absolutely normal. Diesels have huge low end torque which should make low end driving butter. It is just that you are using it in a wrong way. Did you observe that your diesel car ascends a flyover in first gear without needing to do anything else?

I think you are very conscious about stalling the car and hence keep revving it in lower gears making you feel the torque a lot, just relax and practice some low speed driving in empty roads just to get a feel of it. You will observe that the car keeps going on and on in first and second gears w/o any pedalling. A diesel car generally does not stall that easy, it just tries to pull as much as possible.

Thanks GTO. I am following this thread for long time and My decision to buy figo is very much influenced by this thread. I added new cars to my shortlist based on best No of replies and views of respective Car's review in "Official New Car Reviews" section. I came to know goods and bads of cars with in first few pages of threads and my perfect homework was ready before TD of the cars. Finally Figo won over Swift and Punto. Great work GTO, Crossing 10,00,000 views is a Massive achievement. My Best wishes for future reviews.

BTW how about adding Figo Picture in "Right Hand Top" pictures ? (sorry, I don't know what it is called). Hope Figo deserves it now.

TRY THIS !! Instead of suddenly lifting off the your foot a gradual lifting causes less/no jerking.

This has been spooking me so much, let me describe it again:

I never saw this behaviour (even in mild form) in the petrol cars I have driven. The only diesel car I have driven is my own. And it happen ONLY in first and second gears.

e.g. I'm going in 2nd at 1500 for a while (e.g. due to traffic conditions, can't shift up to 3rd, and 1500@2nd means shifting down is really not an option) - suddenly see traffic slowing in front of me, so to slow down lift foot off the pedal (not a lot - a little bit).

Next thing I see - speed drops as if I applied sudden brakes and car jerks.

I am planning to ask the service guys about this on my first service anyway - but as I see on this (and other threads) service guys' first response is "normal hai saar" for everything - I thought I'll ask others.

Also let me see if I can get my hands on another diesel (preferably a Figo diesel) over the weekend to check whether that suffers from the same thing.

i bought the figo a year back and within 3 weeks went in for gsports seat cover. Costed 8k and trust me it is perfect and have retained the original shape and it does not heat up as well. Link below:

Oh yes. Expect the facelift pretty soon ie. in less than 3 months.

Excellent. It will be great if Ford fixes the small niggles reported in otherwise fantastic car. Can we expect the new 1.5L diesel in the Figo? I hope Ford does not bump up the price too much with this facelift.
