Review: 1st-gen Ford Figo (2010)

Ford hasn't come out with the official prices yet these sites claim to be official, have confirmed with ppl at ford itself

Looking at this car it reminds of old zen. Should definitely have the handling. Its just the lack of power i chose beat over figo. Figo also looks a few generations old. I have serious doubts whether figo will sell in good nos. (atleast the petrol) unless priced agressively. The odds are against it.
1) Dated looks
2) Underpowered petrol
3) Controversial Ford ***.

However the diesel can be a runaway success.

with you completely as ford India has not announced the prices, However it is expected within a couple of days.

hey mkerala, ford hasn't gone public with the official figures, i can vouch for that, have checked with ppl at Ford personally. Its mentioned in their website also that prices are not announced.

Yep - thats old news though. Its a multi stage launch. First with Alan, then Job#1 with CM M Karunanidhi, then the actual "release".

I think all these news sites source the news from one another. The actual news sites is telling Figo
launch to be at Taj, Delhi on 9th, which I think would be the case.

As for the pricing, it should not exceed Beat's pricing vis-a-vis versions. PS in Beat, Lxi in Figo -
similarly LS-Exi, LT-Zxi, LTOption-Titanium. Though Beat is not as spacious as Figo, but it is much
more modern car, while Figo saves a lot of money by leveraging an existing platform. Beat has set
the a precedence in aggressive pricing, and Ford would be really foolish not to follow suit.
