Great prizing !! Bring it on Ford !!
Are these prizes going to stay ? or are they going to increase the prizes after creating the initial buzz ? will definitely be an interesting strategy.
@extreme_torque, Totally agree with your confusion and I am a big fan of your signature

RGK mentioned road safety tax of 2000 so if i add that its 41,952.

Why is ford dealership both Chennai and MPL ford quoting 48,752.
The difference is bribe money for the RTO and their own margin. It was pretty much the same scene when I bought a Fiesta. No use fighting over it with them. I tried. They offered me other freebies instead, but I doubt if you would get any since it's a new car. This RTO bribe+margin is pretty much a standard practice across all car dealerships.

To avoid this, you can do your own registration. Get the temp registration and find an RTO agent. The dealer will not deliver the car to you without either a temp registration or a permanent registration. However, he can drive the car from the yard to the showroom with a temporary certificate which will be attached to the car that needs it. Some people like nairrk have successfully done their own registration. You can do it too if you have the time and the inclination.

now let me throw a question here - is this FIGO pricing going to result in a correction from the Hyundai and MSIL camps ?

can FORD sustain such prices or are they just offering this as intro for a brief period ?
Ever since maruti started the 'Introductory' prices gimmick, everyone else has followed suit. We can expect Ford to increase prices as well in a few months, especially if stories about the booking numbers are true.

Ford Figo TV commercials! Check it out guys! The car looks decent - the clay red interior not so much so. Same colour as mendhi

I like the Statue commercial the most! "An Ac that cools him down even faster!"

cheers!

I visited Metro Ford, Bangalore today and they said that TD will start next week.

In general, I had a good impression of the car; especially considering the sweet price it is being sold.

For the first time I m seeing a Figo in non green colour
Ford forced green figo so much that I hate to see it in that colour now!

Waiting to see it in other colors. Did i say that it looks better in red.

edit:
Just saw the commercials
Yuck! again the green car and red interiors which remind me of the water melon that I'm having now.

The commercials are excellent ..to the point. Each one seems to be highlighting a particular aspect.

Whatever I have read about the interiors so far, seems like a copy/paste job from Fiesta..even the horn feels tight like in Fiesta, as per one comment above. The ICE seems to be better!! So what we paid 7+ lacs for Fiesta..case of cross-subsidy!!

Again! Its like the 4th or 5th time they are 'launching' it. Someone is desparate for media buzz.

Test drove the diesel today. Loved the car, felt it's a little sportier than the fiesta. Kairali Ford promised the car will be delivered between 15th and 20th of this month.
One thing I've noticed is that there's a huge gap between the rear door and the B pillar. It's visible when you sit in the rear. Anyone else noticed this?

Is there a planned time line wherein Ford Figo will be produced? For example, the car manufacturers normally specify the lifecycle of a car during which it will be under constant production to meet the demands. Is there anything like that for Figo?
