Really dont think so. Since the music system is not usb enabled it wont have any software to read data from a usb device.

I just came across this site. Not sure if it would help in india

Its only indicative. This unit in Figo is definitely Made in India. And definitely proprietary.

I dont understand this - the difference between connecting an MP3 player and a USB drive is that the MP3 player does the hard work. So why not get a cheap MP3 player for 500-800 bucks and use it instead of getting that cable.
The Line in port is already provided.

Is Swift VDI costing 6.6lakh on road with all tax & excise increase and delivery time is 7 months ..
If this is true, then Figo would do much better. Can someone confirm

My only concern about the figo would be the cost of spares/ maintenance... Any idea about the frequently change parts and the prices?

Just yesterday I found that Figo does not have normal key slot for the boot. You can only open it from dashboard or unlock button on the key. Is this common with Ford cars ?

Thanks Brix!
Glad to know you will be a figo owner soon. Yea it does feel slighty underpowered but I'm hoping that once the engine frees up a bit after 2-3K KM it should feel better.

@brix MPL sales support has been good so far, when i intially booked, they said delivery during tamil new year time and when i paid, they said end of March. To be fair, i booke on 14th march and getting her on 8th april, just over 3 weeks for a diesel car waiting time is fair IMO. When you see maruti giving 3-4 months time, i feel Ford has done well and hopefully will continue the job forward. If they keep this momentum, Ford will be seeing a lot of money. Good for us, spares will be cheaper too.
Hey Scorpio,
Congrats on your car.

Will take some time to get used to the power bands, especially since I am moving from Petrol to Diesel. Hope to reopen my thread with initial drive report. Thanks everyone for your wishes !

If your telling to connect using mp3 player, then why do we need the music system? Only speakers are need to play the output sound from the mp3 player. I mean we can connect aux out from mp3 player to even our computer speaker.

USB drive stores songs and the car mp3 player has to play it in the order we describe. Also usb is light weight, more song and easy to carry. I don't have a ipod and have many usb drives also has a usb enabled mp3 player. So usb is a must for me, i also prefer only usb car music system also.

Why swift VDI? It doesn't even have airbag at that high price.

I think that is fair for me too. I booked on 18th February and expect delivery in end april. So about 3 months. For me when i book maruti estilo and waited for 4 months without any delivery till i cancel. Hope ford is better than maruti.

As I observed - the Lxi has the keyhole as there is no electric boot release. The other variants dont have a keyhole. I saw this in the showroom.
