New Addition to the Xylo E8 Family !!

!! Finally !!

The day has come and it gets me extreme delight to share my bit on the latest buy. After 1.5 Year long extensive reading on the SUV /MUV thread I made up my mind to go for the Mahindra Xylo E8.

I thank every member for their valuable comments on Xylo E8 which really helped me decide on buying this one.

So, I'll first let the pictures do the talking and further keep building on my buying experience and the journey so far and counting.....

*** Please Note - In all my relative narration leading to the ulimate
choice and usage of the product i lived through a series of emotions good,
better, best, bad, worse & the worst. Hence any depcition of an emotion is a direct personal experience and not a generic verdict. Hence I beg pardon in advance if facts I reveal as we read further falls in a displeasure at your end. My direct intent is to furnish my personal opinion before the potential buyers and in no way persuade them to change their mindset for a certain product.***

!!Phew !! - Okie the disclaimer is done...I feel so lighter

Time for Pictures... !! YaY !!

congratulations vista. white is definitely the right colour for the xylo. No matter who might say it's not good looking. I feel the looks grows upon you and you will start loving it.

Hey do remember to get the wheel alignment done soon. One of my friends xylo which he bought from INDIA GARAGE in bangalore had absolutely no alignment and he did not realise it because of the power steering till the tyre started to wear out unevenly. After seeing this i got mine done immediately.

Regards
rocky

hey vista did you get the leather seats as free accessories(as i don't see any other accessories on it). The leather seats and sun films look cool. And if leather seats are not free how much did it cost you?

Congrats man the Xylo E8 looks lovely. The independent arm rests for the drivers should definately do well.

Hope you post a drivability report after the first 1000Km.

!! Thank you everyone !!

Off Roadie - Thank you - Sure I am lokking forward for lots of drives. I have already done a short one (Mumbai - Pune) Will post the pictures.

N.Devdath - Thank you - Agreed. I opted for this beast after 1.5 years on continuous research. About the freebies yes I did get some. Free first year insurance. Free 2 yr additional warranty, 5k worth fitments and 2 perfume bottles.

indianchiefrsd - Thank you - I would definately post a pictorial experience with the beast as much I can.

Beejay - A special Thank you - For supporting me during the decision making phase.

Rocky080 - A special Thank you - For supporting me during the decision making phase. Nopes. The seats covers werent free. I paid 36K for the following Accessories:
Front Crash Guard (as discussed above)
- Rear Crash Beam (a Steel Rod one - had no other choice)
- Full Fibre matting Lamination
- Teflon Coat, Engine Coat & under carriage anti-rust coat
- V-kool 70 Sun Screens
- Beige+Walnut brown Seat covers
- Mud Flaps
- Steering cover
- Brown colored floor mats
The Seat covers costed me 6.5 K. Its actually not leather...If my guess is right they call it PU material or something. I can find it for you. Its from M&M itself.

I'll remember the wheel allignment. Thank you.

I'll keep posting more pictures......

!! Soon after Delivery !!

Soon after delivery. The very first thing I did is drove down to the nearest Petrol Pump and get a full tank done. The dealer gave me a 8Ltr worth of fuel coupon to get redeemed.

After this I drove to the Temple which my family would vist frequently. Here are the pictures...

hey vista please wipe out the kum kum on the bonnet asap as some are not of good quality and they tend to leave colour marks on the white paint.

Aren't we fiddling around with the default crumple zones when we install these so called crash guards? IMO crash guards should never be fitted on cars as they will definitely interfere with the crumple zones at the time of an accident. Just my two cents.
