The car looks stunning after the treatment Raghu. I really like the last two pics, can't spot any swirl marks and looks prestine. How much did you pay?

Congratulations to you, Raghu. The car looks great after the job.

I am now scouting someone to get a similar job done here in Hyderabad.

Yeh Jayanth, thanks to you for guiding to an expert. There are few spots where I can make out the swirls but that too when inspected closely. Would call Mukunda and try to see if it can be fixed too.

Thanks Kalyan and all the best. I couldn't believe the results, I wonder why Honda doesn't provide such a finish to the cars.

The car looks great Raghu. How much did they charge for this? I also have some issues with the painted surface being rough in some parts of the car.

Not an issue Raghu. The best part is all this is done at your door step and to your satisfaction unlike giving it to the dealer and praying that they do the job well. Man giving the car to the dealers is such a nighmare.

Hi msdivy,

Missed this post somehow, we stayed in Star Holiday, no other resorts had an availability

Star Holidays Resort, Yercaud India, Resorts India, Star Holidays Resort Yercaud india,Swimming pool, Children play,Grange resorts yercaud tamilnadu india, Tamilnadu resorts, yercaud resorts

We booked Suite Cottage, prices were as per the site. Didn't give any discounts as it was a weekend.

Thought, I would like to tell you I didn't like

> The atmosphere, they allow people to party (Loud music from cars) in the resort near to other cottages. We found it difficult to sleep.

> Dinner timings are too early and one has to place an order by 6:30PM.

4th Service experience

Hi All,

Gave my car for 4th Servicing as it clocked 14840KM so far, I would be off for one week and would be driving to my in-laws place to attend some series of marriages and hence thought would get it checked before.

Complaints:

None, I didn't had any. Rubber cushion missing from last service was to be fixed.

Unfortunately that didn't as they don't have the parts and SA promised me it would be done in the next visit.

Amount: 3275 INR

Was Engine oil changed?

Engine Oil has not been changed as at 10k I opted for Synthetic and hence next oil change is only at 20k km.

What's changed?

Nothing

Yes, nothing. I allways get Wheel Alignment and Balancing in JP.Nagar from the days of my Santro. I couldn't get it done this weekend for some obvious reasons and had no other choice than asking dealer to get it done as I would be leaving early morning tomorrow.

Entire bill amount is only for this,

Labour Cost: 1510
Service Tax on Labour: 155
Parts Cost: 1419 (for all the weights added).
Sales tax: 192

Estimated amount while I dropped the car was mentioned as 3k and they made sure that amount is reached.

Thing which made be more frustated was the weights added (in total 13)

When I inspected, I was surprised to see that they chipped off all the older ones and added completely new ones. I told SA we expect only the difference to be added and not that all the existing ones to be replaced with newer.

It took 15min, but SA was giving me some scrap. I had some meeting and had to leave, but a lesson learnt in a hardway.

Verdict:

Except for the above concern, everything else was done to my satisfaction.

Raghu, if you look at the weights added and the amount charged against them, is that in sync with what is charged by Alignment centers outside?

Hey Raghu
Though a little delayed reply, but we got the same colour and good to see that you got a decent treatment done.
These guys use 3M Finesse IT compound and then Glaze and then 3M Show car Paste It wax if they are doing the exact 3M treatment.
A Rotary machine must have been used.
However the swirls are tough to get away with, you need to see if they are indeed gone or just hidden. Check out pics of my car post treatment on my thread( treatment by mkh services )
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ther-h-10.html

Maintaining this finish that you got is not as tough as people perceive, let me know if you need any inputs on that

Kalyan, Jayanth I need to check my bills (should be lying somewhere). Once I find my old bills would update.

But, to help you guys to compare let me put the amount Dealer took from me

10gm -> 2Nos -> 219.10 INR
15gm -> 1Nos -> 140.06 INR
20gm -> 3Nos -> 361.24 INR
35gm -> 2Nos -> 302.00 INR
40gm -> 2Nos -> 317.80 INR
Screw/Tapping -> 269.44 INR don't know what is this (mentioned 3Nos in the same column as for Wheel balancing)

All the above prices are inclusive of 13.5% LST

735 INR was for the 15k km paid service
400 INR for Wheel alignment
375 INR for Wheel Balancing.

+ tax on labour (10.30% + additional LST).

Trip Update

Hi All,

Back from vacation, attending marriages, meeting friends and relatives. Tirupati Visit while returning.

Total Trip Distance: 1943km

Reading on ODO: 16890km

Total Fuel consumed: 117lts.

FE: 16kmpl

Route:

Onward Route: Bangalore -> Tirupati -> Vijayawada (halt in Kalahasthi for breakfast)

Return: Vijayawada to Triupati (2 days halt)
Return to Bangalore on 31st night at 9:00.

Road Condition:

BLR- TPT - good, covered the distance both the times under 4hrs

TPT - Nayadupeta - Pathetic

Naydupeta - Vijayawada - Excellent NH5.

Handling:

It was raining all the way on 25th Aug from Blr till Vijayawada and the handling, stability of the car was great at speeds over 100km.

Overtaking was fun and ease.

Handling of the car was amazing, whenever I do a long drive with this beauty it makes me think of planning another one.

Only issue I faced through out was during my return journey from TPT to Bangalore on 31st night, started from Tirupati at 9.00 this is my first night drive on a 2 Lane road. I allways had a concern on the headlights, but never drove on night times.

It was not sufficient, due rains many potholes, diversion needed a better lighting, it needs an upgrade.

Unfortunate thing:

Scratch on front bumper, entry to function hall was very narrow due to pillars planted for decoration. I didn't realize I was too close, left side of bumper at lower side took the hit and left 4 lines of deep scratches.

Would post a pic later.

New Additions:

1. Bought MMI Road Pilot as I just needed a plain navigation system. I already have blue tooth available, thought 4.3inch is too small to watch movies, hence opted for this base model.

It has Map Version 4.1, upgrade to latest versions of Map (5.0) is free of cost in case the product is bought between 15July - 30 Sept. Iam just waiting for link from MMI to upgrade.

What I liked?

> Sleek.
> Response is quick, alters the route according to position very quickly.

What I didn't?

> Location search is a pain, or probably Iam yet to get used to it.

2. Inspired by MKH, started buying some car detailing products. As of now added Turtle Platinum series Wax, Interior cleaning products. Yet to use them. Would visit Ganesh Auto spares to check out Meg products.
