Hi everyone ,

So updates! The glass goes back on today. All the tinkering work is nearly over just some work in the front bumper left. We should soon be moving into interiors soon.

Some pics attached.

P>S> Moderator - Can we change the title of the thread to include the word restoration as will be happy if more people join in and give me some advice etc. Think running repairs is not attracting the right eyeballs.

Tinkering work is nearly done, now should get the car ready for a fresh coat of paint by tomorrow. Then we can start working on the interior trim. Attaching some pics.

Hi Toms Nandishpal,

Attaching few pics of matte finish cars. I heard its hard to maintain especially if you get scratches but I just love the look.

Please no Matt Finish.

Try and keep it in Original Silver.

If you are planning to get rid of your Old Headlamps, Tail lamps and Wheels then contact me ASAP.

The Alloys are Original MB 10 Hole Alloys.

The New Headlamps look Really Bad. :(

I am also a 124 Owner so you can ask me if you have any specific questions.

You will be repainting the car with the CD Changer in it ? LOL

Hi Supercar,

I have the original headlamp, tail lamp etc. I am not planning to get rid of the same. I am keeping it safe and will be installing them back a year after I get bored with the led tail & projector headlamps.

I am not planning to change the alloys as of now. Yes am planning to put some new music system with USB ports.

Please feel free to share your ideas am open to all views

Hi All,

Tinkerman finally came back and has started finishing the job..should be shipped for paintjob tonight! Some more pics on this stage.

I think we should take two days for preparation and then start painting. Am going with my favorite color Black. Like my two black beauty's in my garage.http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/images...s/Clapping.gif

No no no no no no No matt. The paint job has to be a high gloss one.

The original colours look great and will also add value to your car. Personally the Azurite blue was the best colour but an overcoat of the same silver also is suited for this car. Please dont toy with an idea you will later regret. For a W124 E220/250, stock is the way to be.

+1 to that. Repainting the car in the same colour will involve a lot less stripping down. This is all the more important when we are getting the job done in the after-market.

Machdar, stick to silver please. Get some nice tints, alloys, tyres and no.plates. Wheels alone are enough to make your W124 stand out from the crowd.
