Hi folks
Iam following this great community for quiet some time
I have done my complete RnD for which car to buy.

It all started back in Jan 2010 when I decided to leave my Wagon-R(2002) and move ahead. So i started looking for a Suitable car, I wanted style, Comfort and Power and my requirement was in same order and budget was about 7.5-8.5Lk. I drive mostly in City and some time to my office in gurgaon.
Finally i was stuck on following option

Fiat linea
ANHC
So after some search and checking owners review and afer consulting my dad i finally decided for Fiat linea on 15 feb and booked it by giving 25K as advance payment.
But that was my biggest mistake on 16th morning my neighbour was having a tea with my father and he told him that his relative had fiat linea and he sold it to the dealer,He was so irritated by service and he told my father that parts are not easily available, His stereo system was faulty he was trying to get it changed but it took 1.5 months to get that done. I tried to check same with tata and what i saw :eek: was :Shockked: .
2 guys was shouting at service advisor that there car is standng for last 1 month and still you(service guy) give same excuse that parts need to be imported and they are on there way....... Then and there i went to the dealer and cancelled by booking. He tried his best to change my mind and said fiat gonna open there service center soon and everything that he can think off but my father was standing next to me and was about scold me that thats your research . So i cancceled my booking he gave me a cheque of 22K deducting 3K for cancellation.

Then after reaching home my father said "Mere ko ek or lambi gaddi nahi chaiye"(i dont need another sedan). We already have a SX4 so it was finally decided that we will be going for sedan. So my father said decide it today that which car you want but it should be hatch back.
So i thought of following cars

Jazz
I20
Ritz
I know all +ve and -ve of the car (thanks to Bhpians)
Jazz:That is a too over priced car
I20:Too under powered
Ritz:I dont like the shanpe
We wanted a petrol car only

Car was needed immediately so without wasting time it was concluded that we will go for white I20 asta 1.2 so i went to Himgiri Hyundai
I was fully loaded with knowledge as recieved from U guys so i told sales gal to come directly to point and tell how much I20 gonna cost and what all u gonna give me. After pursuil she agreed for mud flap, carpet , gear lock and 2 teflon coating.
She said booking is going on and sh can only deliever the car atleast afetr 20 days . Before i say anything my brother said Ok and i was booked I gave a cheque and told her that we will arrange the letter from authority for the number u just arrange the car Asap. All our car have Fancy number 0013 or total of 13(3910 my Avoe UVA). So it was booked.

On 21st feb i recived a call from dealer that we have arranged the car get the letter and take the delievery . I was so glad but we have not stsrted the procedure for the number so i asked if she can give me the car in Temp number for which she refuced.So i went to my Authority will a letter written by a politician to allot me a number either 0013 or 3910. They told me that it will take 2 days to get that done because they need to follow a procedure.

So after 2 days of pain finally i went to the dealer checked my car send her for a wash completed the formality she gave me a Box of biscuit i gave her choclate. So after that every thing was done and i took her to temple straight away as per direction of my mom as some Holastic thing is going on.
Car is just awesome the interior is best in it class , Flattered on folding OVRM and Key, Car is poor on 2nd gear.
I got Jaguar seat cover baige colour and 3m CR50 Sun film done

congrats! plz show us some pictures too. And i don't think the i20 is 'too' underpowered as you said. The power is more than adequate for city driving.

Well I own Sx4 and Aveo UVA so might be comparing with them
But when u are on 2nd gear i feels underpowered

What i feel is automatic doest give the feel
i took a TD of At santro and feels as iam driving a scooty . thats what i feel.
So never had a mind for At

Congrats Vineet. Yes it does feel a little underpowered in the 2nd gear especially with AC on. But it doesn't matter for city driving.

Absolutely right in city it doesnt matter
But it lacks power
I think i should have gone for i20 1.4
But man the looks are killing
The time i sit in ma car it feels so awesome
Due to looks i can compensate for power
