Wow, Bopanna. The red dress just looks smashing on your Punto. A lots of buyers are actually turning to the 1.2 edition. With the newer launches in better trim variants, the sales should be interesting.

Congrats Bopnna for the spanking red Punto. Finally, people have opened up for the 1.2Fire now. How much did you cough up for the beauty?
Aren't wheel caps standard on the Active 1.2. Couldn't spot yours. Some interior snaps would also be welcome.
Keep us updated about that stalling issue and happy motoring with the car.

How are things with the car? Any inputs about the mileage and the service?

It'd be great to have a detailed ownership report on the forum because the 1.2 version is rare (on the forum) and I for one believe that this is an underrated engine. I had test driven the car out of curiosity, and it felt quite good.

Congratulations for the Punto. It looks really hot in that color. But it definitely needs a nice set of rims.

Humming sound in the PUNTO

Hello
Members I have a Fiat Punto Active 1.2 which has done about 7000 kms, from the last week I have noticed a Hum in the Rev Band which is quite audible in the mornings and is a little loud in the Low rev's when youaccelerate slowly there is a Hum from the engine Bay, some one heard the same and told me it could be that one of the Belts is Loose or Tight, could you please tell me what it could be.

The sound appears to be evident when you are turning the car to either sides and are driving in first and second gears.

regards
Bopanna Kunjappa

Yup check the belts, especially the one that drives the power steering pump but it will be more of screeeeeetch than humm.
