LOL, don't bang your head too much. I know that compared to the US, the car choices we have in India are expensive and traffic sense/safety leave a lot to be desired. But there is something priceless about not having to worry about speed limits and law enforcement. Maybe I am looking at it through rose-tinted spectacles, but for driving pleasure, at least for those of us raised in India, I think the Indian road is a tough act to follow.

The car looks stunning. Can you post a video too ( want to hear it growl )?
I haven't taken any videos yet.

What's the deal you got?:-)
See post number 6 for the price. Well, at least the CarFax report is clean and I had the VIN run through a GM dealer to see what kind of warranty work and services were done. I also got a Bill of Sale in which the seller promised that the factory warranty is still intact.

So, the "buy second hand" works out well there too!

EDIT: Silly question. where is the front number plate?
The previous owner was a cop and he said he didn't worry about it because he wouldn't be ticketed for it . I haven't got my license plates yet in my state. So, you should see it with a front license plate soon

One heck of a ride. Congratulations. Buying used car market in US is very tempting and safe IMO. Lots of choices, CARFAX provides good inputs interms of any abuse to car. KBB provides good insight to the value of the car to start of with negotiations.

Enjoy your ride! Drive safe and beware of those Radar's/Lasers

I missed that 6th post. So everything looks fine and you got a good deal. Is front license plate compulsory in your state? Never seen front license plate in any of the vehicle where I stayed for few years(GA) and other number of states I travelled.

Happy vrooooooo.....m...ing!!!!!

Were there any other cars you had considered or you eyed only Corvette!

A typical Indian question, what is the FE of the car

It's black as black can get. The blue could be the reflection of the sky

Unfortunately, front license plates are mandatory in Virginia.

It was the Corvette or nothing.

I got 21.6 mpg (~ 9 kpl?) on my first tankful with about 75% highway driving. This car is rated at 26 mpg on the highway, 2 more than my old Mustang which had less than half the power. Mainly because of the car's light weight (3146 lb without fuel) and a 6th gear which is taller than Giant Gonzalez

Awesome Tacho...

What a machine to Own and red lining the beast in 2nd and 3rd gear would have been such a feeling.

Wonderful pics too.

You need to hear a Corvette to beleive it. Have been a huge fan since my childhood NFS playing days!

I have driven extensively in the states - ranging from Jeep Liberty, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mercury Milan, Pontiac Vibe, Pontiac G6, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Chevrolet Malibu... and the list goes on. I remember me and my colleagues wanting to pose by the Corvette whenever we spotted one in the parking lot! They remain our most impulsive moments and snaps together. The real "Amarican" sports car revolution...

Congratulations on a gleamy ride Tacho! Black is back!

Its a beauty to look at.

I've seen in your signature that you had a Mustang & sold it.
Which one would you rate the best? V6 vs V8 I must say.
Why MT, any reason? I guess AT's are more popular.

Too many question, I must stop now.
