Thanks for the replies guys.
The car is as stock as it can get, save for the seat cover and some under body spraying of some stuff.

After a straight drive of 26 kms the car started well.
Seems I got a slow leak of current somewhere.
Need to check I guess.

Check if your boot light is turning off when the boot is closed. Could be an after effect of what they did to your boot lock. Maybe your car did not appreciate being touched at the rear

^^ Yeah. Did not check that till now. But then won't it drain the whole battery overnight? And car refuse to start?
Will check anyways.

Now a days the car is running super smooth. Might be that I am used to its NVH now. Need to drive a petrol car to be able to judge. Not regretting even once as to why I went for a Punto. FIAT got a happy customer in me.

The thud comes if one rear wheel goes over a bump or rut. The relative travel of the suspension is the cause for the noise. It happens with my Bossa Nova Active also. The culprit is the torsion beam rear suspension and the stiff preload design. You wont experience it if both the rear wheels go over speed breakers or a railways crossing. Moreover you wont have it at high speeds also as the setup is biased towards it. The best way to negate it is to slow down to crawling speeds. will have to live with it or wait till the torsion beam becomes a lilttle more flexible.Fiat - No pun intended.

I wonder if any owner has experienced this issue till now.

pls check your shocks , I had to replace my shocks under warranty due to this sound .

Nice. Very nice actually. I am getting 17.4 per liter with AC. Daily run is around 52 kms. Around 40 of that will be on BETL I guess.
I am the one with biggest smile in the fuel bunks.

And the car has come to its own after 15k kms. Its a total different beast now. Smoother and more rev friendly. Only niggle is that silly rear left hand rubber door beading which keeps coming off. In spite of it getting replaced once.

They promptly replaced the shock absorbers. The right rear one was changed and the problem gone forever.

Do not want to write a travelogue for this silly short trip.
Decided to go to Nandi Hills on the spur of the moment. Started at late 5.45 in morning.

I am kind of looking at some other service stations. Till now I have gone to concorde Dairy circle only. Any suggestions?

Meet Sudheendra (service advisor) , iam sure he will be able to help you out.
They are quite a competent unit , as far as FIAT cars are concerned .But take prior appointment before going
