Congrats Joe! Nice car.
:uncontrol That was a good one. Hope you will get used to the controls very soon! |
:) Thanks! I got used to it pretty fast. Infact that was the only time I checked the wipers at turns.

So fresh, so untainted, so WHITE ! Great color and the car looks dashing !
Nice looking alloys too. But again this is subjective, the alloys could have been black :)
And generally how is Kairali Ford service and customer orientation aspect ? |
Thanks. Black alloys are a little too sporty for me. Kairali Ford's been good so far, but they are not a patch on the Honda service guys, especially Cosmic Honda here. Kairali had 30+ cars to deliver in a day so I'll give them a break.

Congratulations !! I saw your pictures & went "Woah!". I'd liked the green Figo in GTO's review but the white looks out of this world!
Love the bluetooth feature you mentioned, you've made me start to miss it in my car lol:
Can't wait to TD the TDCi!
Do post some more pics of the interiors & driver's view
drive safe :thumbs up |
Thanks! Yes, the bluetooth feature is awesome! I'll post some pics right away. I'll get a driver's view pic tomorrow.

She looks great! Once you get used to the gearing, you will love this car even more.
The turbo-lag is present, but since it's very little compared to its competitors, you get used to it quite fast and don't tend to notice it.
I only notice it when I started driving the car after switching from a high revving petrol. |
Thanks lamborghini. You are right, I've covered 500 kms already and I don't notice any lag now. Maybe it was the civic effect.

Congrats Joe. Its a fantastic buy - the best diesel hatchback. Even i feel that the Figo looks really good - well proportioned and not over the top.
Enjoy the drive ! |
Thanks Gaurav.

Congrats! White is the best colour on a Figo. And your alloy wheels look awesome! The red dash was optional, right? Didn't you prefer the simple black dash? |
Thanks! Yes the red was optional. I quite liked the red dash when I saw it first. The black one looked too ordinary;)
The odo now reads 524 kms. I hardly notice the turbo lag now. I had a chance to drive the car on the highway today. Now I know why all the Ford guys drive so fast. The ride becomes very good at about 80kmph. It's a little bumpy at city speeds though. Maybe they've overinflated the tires. Need to check that tomorrow.
The only annoyance so far is the audio system (starts playing after you hang up even when the system is off). The approximate mileage I got is around 16+ kms. It's a rough estimate based on the DTE (distance to empty) and the trip meter.
The aircon is super effective. It cools the cabin in no time.
One other thing I've noticed: There's a slight distortion at eye level in the front windshield.
Another fantastic set of snaps! Your figo really looks sweet! Could you comment on the quality of the interior plastics and fit'n'finish etc?

Thanks RGK. My father thinks along Henry Ford's lines: You can buy any color as long as it's white. |
Haha :)
Exactly how my father thinks aswell!
WOW , great pics, specially the seat covers looks really nice .
Wanted to know , about the three icons visible in the 4th pic under the odo reading, what are those for.
@anekho Thanks again. It's not fair to compare the plastic quality to more expensive cars. Compared to cars in it's price bracket, the quality is pretty good. The paint job is pretty good too.
Regarding fit and finish, the piece above the rear number plate (with the chrome bit) is plastic and looks a little out of alignment on my car. Need to take a closer look tomorrow. Also the hinge of the rear hatch is missing a rivet.

Thanks! They are Low fuel level warning lamp, Airbag warning lamp and Engine check warning lamp.
They light up when you turn on the ignition and goes off in a few seconds (if everything's fine)
Good interior pictures. I liked the seats very much. Congrats nevertheless.
Wow, your pics rival those of GTO.The details of interior brought out are the best i have seen on the web though i might add that the dashboard doesnt look that orange.photoshopping a tad?
Excellent interior snaps. The boot is really cavernous, it can surely gallop all the holiday luggage.
@aditya116-Maybe joethomasv used all time flash for clicking the snaps.
Excellent upholstery on seats. Looks like most of the Figos have gone to Kerala. I am yet to come across a Figo in Bangalore.

Thanks! The boot is big! Yes, the flash was on for the interior snaps, except for the instrument cluster pic.

Thanks! It's not photoshop (I didn't touch the color settings in photoshop. Just adjusted the curves) The camera's set to take pictures that way. I like a little more color in my pics :)

Thanks man.
Congrats on the car joethomas. Car looks brilliant in white.
Your pics were absolutely fantastic.
From all the pics one of them was very interesting, the one of the steering column.
The gaping hole in the middle of the plastic cover is for the steering rake adjust. They have removed the feature but are using the same plastic shroud.
Pretty disappointing when the provision is there in the steering column as well as the plastic moulding has it.
Don't know why they still removed it. Atleast Titanium and ZXi should have had it.
Man alive, superb pictures worth a million bucks apiece. You should send them to Ford and they should immediately be incorporated into the next Ford Figo brochure. Do consider professional photography after your day ends as a mechanical engineer.
Melvyn
Congrats mate for the new ride.

I think they might have gone for a warning signal type for the temp - when the coolent temp goes beyond certain temo, the warning light should come on (similar to ANHC) |
<<<Thanks nairrk. There's a coolant high temperature warning lamp.>>.
Due to absence of temp gauge, how to know about the warmup/base engine temperature esp when the car is started in winter climate.
