Good to see that your problem got rectified.
So that's the 'we told you so' mystery!

Distance to empty:

Instantaneous fuel consumption:

This works only when the car moves and the maximum it shows is 25.

Back at home after steering correction (a round 200kms on the odometer):

Now the odometer is 560+! The temperature guage usually stick to this level and has just peeped above this line once so far.

+1 to that have noticed that too on my Manza. Besides, according to the User manual, the Instantaneous fuel consumption and temp displays are correct only above 30 kmph.

The best way to get the 25 kmpl is to just lift your foot off the accelerator and then see

I know: 'We told you so!'.

But even after so many years, taking a new car is all excitement and so everything else is put in a back burn.
Good that everything worked out. In the picture of the wrong steering position, I see some polythene cover under the steering - shouldn't that be removed?

And here is a post I made in another thread on suggested maintenance for CRDi engines. Happy owing the latest "a lot more care per car"!

No. I don't subscribe to these treatments. Other than any poiishes that a car may get when it goes for service, none of my cars get exterior / interior treatments.

The only accessories that I go in for are music system / remote central locking (if they don't come as standard), sunfilm and alloys.

The credit for the shine goes to the showroom people. This was their show room piece!

Sorry, did not check it, But wasn't it the other way around, especially the temperature part?

What I meant was it is designed with a maximum of 25! Nothing I did could make it go beyond 25!

Nothing is concrete as of now. Right now, though not needed, it is a three car situation.

If you have time, take a look:

Yahoo! Groups

The above gives an idea as to how I ended up in this situation. Destiny?

Except me and my wife, everybody else is from the showroom. I actually made one of them to take that shot for me and so that is one less in the numbers from the showroom!

Filming against the Sun!

Hi,

Garware Classic Natural Ash. Have been using this for my last few cars. person comes home and does this.

Bad image of the sunfilm spedifications:
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_990_medium.jpg
VLT 35%, Heat reduction 45%, UV rejection 99%

Starts the cutting:
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_989_medium.jpg

Starts the fixing:
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_993_medium.jpg

Left 3/4th before fixing:

Left 3/4th rear glasses done:
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_994_medium.jpg

Left 3/4th done full:
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_996_medium.jpg

After the job, out in the sun:
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_997_medium.jpg
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_998_medium.jpg
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_999_medium.jpg

Saw this while getting this film done (Red ellipse):
Tata Indigo Manza Quadrajet Aura Plus - Monarch Red-image_995_medium.jpg
Something for the first service.

The car is at 603km.

The sun film box specifies an MRP of Rs 1885.00. After the work, I feel that almost 50% of the film was still left. That is a tidy profit as I paid Rs 2150.00 for fixing it. A little more than the other quotes that I got elsewhere, but I am satisfied with this person's work over the last few cars (over the years, never had a complaint). He comes home and fixes it and he does not remove any door panel etc for fixing the film!
