Congrats. Looking forward a separate review about the car as well as dealer.

The 1.2 HTP is a solid car and you should be fine.

Hi all,

Following Aviral and Kadri, I too am tempted by Fabia. The 50K discount makes it look like VFM now. i20 Magna now costs the same as Fabia Classic, which has all features of Magna + 2 airbags. Here is my 'what car advice' thread. Do drop in your words of wisdom.

My concern now is:
Is the Fabia about to come with a new engine (polo 1.2)? I asked this to the SP, and he said no. Yeah right .
BS3 engines made till April 2010, can be still sold in the 13 cities for a grace period of 6 months. The condition is only that BS3 engines manufactured from may '10 cannot be registered in these cities. - Am I correct? This might explain the discount of 50k. Your inputs will be very helpful.

people I had decided to do a DIY for adding rear speakers in the Fabia,
i can do 70% of it but need helm on the remaining 30%, those fabia owners who have already got rear speakers installed might be able to help me.

heres the new thread if you want to help.

Not really, the discounts were on offer on the Fabia even before the BS4 thing happened. They are just like any other discounts / offers to push sales.

And yes, eventually, the Polo engine will make way into the Fabia. Grapewine says around 6 months. It wouldnt make any difference to the driving experience of BS3 or BS4.

Thanks Jigbarai (or is it Jigarbai!). My only concern is the poor mileage. I think I will call up the dealer this week. Cant wait for 6 months.

speakers

anyone heard the kenwood kfc s702p, jbl gto608c, pioneer ts d1720c

i believe all cost roughly same in grey mkt, but specs show that kenwoods and pioneers will dig real low (30 hz) as compared to jbl's.

any more info??

got the gto608c installed at rear door, the sound is very good.
should i worry about any possible impedance differences between hu and speakers, since box says 4 ohms, and manual says 2 ohms
thanks
