Re: My First Car, Ritz VDI

I come across vinyl on the top. Can some one tell what are the positives and negatives. If it is of worth doing beyond the look I too will go ahead.

Issue after 20k service

Today in the evening after coming back from work parked the car in the usual place .
After sometime wifey asked me to go a get some stuff from the nearby shop.
While going noticed two oil stains underneath the car .Not sure if it was from my car or not, changed the position of my car ,pushed it abit back and went ahead.

Came back and checked it once again , and there was new stain on the floor .

Checked the same and looked like engine oil.

So looks like after draining the old oil , the stuff that keep the oil sealed is either not properly fitted or its damaged.

Thats really not acceptable stuff

Will get it checked tomorrow.

The bill is attached.

Sorry could not scan it, so took a snap.Let me know if you need a better snap of it.

Anyways for the oil stain issue, went to the pratham motors around 9 am ,waited for sometime for my SA to come as they were attending their daily meetings.

Showed him the pictures of the leakage.

He immediately took the car inside and put it on the ramp and checked the same .

Drained the engine oil, collected the same in clean can and found that their was some issue with part which is used to stop the oil.
Asked a guy to get a new one and replaced it , put the collected engine oil back and it was done, all done with 20 mins .
He told me "sorry" a couple of times . But i guess thats ok as long as the issue is fixed .

So hope it should be fixed .
The car really feels smooth after the service

Cheers.

PUC certificate for 165/- ? Is that the standard cost in Bangalore?

@Schoudhury,
Any updates about the oil stains? Is the issue resolved after the seal was replaced?

No it is Rs 100/- PUC certificate. Another 65/- is listed as CO Adjusted & Emission done. Only reason I got it done at the service center as some emission centers at Petrol Bunks do not have facility for Diesel Vehicles.
Also with COPS around every corner in Bangalore I though it is safe to get it done during every service as I try to maintain 6 months service time between servicing.

Checked the car when starting from office, no stains , just went and checked in my apartment's car park, looks fine, touchwood.
