Just get 3 to 4 mts of Velcro(male part/stiff side) and paste it under the mat using QuickFix or FeviBond adhesive. Velcro costs only Rs. 5/Mtr and the adhesive less than Rs. 20/-. I did it myself and found the mats does not move from its position!
But this will be a problem, in cleaning the car my friend....

Blue was the second option given by me while booking mine .
One of my friend who is a GM employee has got a Blue Beat.

It can be taken out easily and positioned back.

Waiting Period

The Beat LT in red that i have booked is taking 20 days!
White and linen beige were immediately available. But i thought i will wait for the red!
For the LS the waiting period is shorter. Around 10 days.

That is good.
The waiting period got reduced- may be due to the additional shift production added by GM during last March.

Positioned back? How you will clean the mat daily? Don't you stick them? Once removed how it will re-stick?

Velcro is the stuff widely used for bags, shoes etc. It can be seperated by just pulling from one side. If you see the pic, you will understand.
Here what I have done is- pasted the "Hook Side" of the Velcro under the mat.
The fabric layer available in the car floor itself can act as the "Loop Side" of the Velcro.
To take out, just pull outwards.
To keep it back, just place the mat and gently press on the Velcro side - it sticks automatically to the floor fabric.
Hope clarified.

Update on Accessories:

Got the following accessories for my Beat:
- IND Number Plates - Rs.800/-
- AutocopXS remote lock system ~ Rs.2700/-
- Scorpio Power window roll up system ~ Rs.1400/-
While taking the delivery itself I asked the sales guy to get me the IND number plate instead of normal plates. Initially he agreed for it with aditional cost, but finally gave me the normal one and told me to get it from outside!.
I got the number plates from one auto accessories shop near Bommanahalli. Fixed the front plates with screw and pasted the rear ones with 3M double sided stickers. The screw position was not matching when kept the plate in the center. So decided to use 3M stuff. Looks good without any screws.
I will post some pics later.

Got the remote lock installed from Reliance Autozone @ HSR layout.
Had checked with GM guys and they told that the GM remote locking is also from Autocop. The remote was bulky and the cost is also more.
So decided to get it done from outside. I liked the small remote - 2 button type. Also got the power window auto roll up device - Scorpio (Autocop brand). It is a real convenience for me because I used to forget verifying if all the windows are rolled up before locking the car.
The Reliance guys installed both the things neatly.
They did a good job eventhough mine was the 1st Beat they worked.

Installing auto cop and alternate music systems from outside ... doesn't it void the 3 yr warranty from GM ?

No.
That is what I came to know from the GM dealer.
Even if you get it installed from GM, it will not be covered under warranty.

That is too much!
I was thinking 800 itself is high.
BTW mine is not HSRP type- It looks like HSRP except for the laser marking of sl no.
But it looks good. That is the reason I went for it.
We dont get HSRPs in Karnataka.

Dear Salbin

If we look closer to Beat's Odo console from an angle, we can see Distance to Empty and Out side temperature options available. This features are not in Indian Beats. Can we some how activate it? Can we procure the required parts from other counties.

Regards

Vinu

If you do this you will effect the warranty of the car for sure. Don't do that.

I am sure the critical componenets required for activation will be missing. you can install aftermarket toys for the same. it is much simpler that way
