My Linea Dynamic - +1 to team-bhp

Hello All,

It's been over a month ,I took delivery of my Linea Dynamic Diesel and the car has covered around 1200kms so far.

Existing car
I own a Maruti 800 -2004 model.Still enjoying the city drive in my M-800 and so far covered 24,,000kms in highways alone. Thought of upgrading to a sedan from the beginning of 2009 and the reasons are
1.Highway drive (Bangalore to Chennai ) once in a month
2.Launch of Linea

TestDrive , Dealership & Free Accessories Details
Cars considered :-
Skoda Fabia (before becoming member of t-bhp ),
Linea-Diesel Active,
Linea – Diesel Dynamic
Linea – Petrol Dynamic

I did a Linea Diesel testdrive in the feb’10 from concorde motors,Bangalore. The Salesperson Mr.Abhishek was very helpful in arranging a testdrive . After completing the testdrive I confirmed with him whether it was diesel. Booked the Linea Diesel Dynamic 2010 model by February end (26/02).

The loan was arranged with HDFC loan at the rate of 8.5% for 75% of the car amount

It was told to me that it will take 2- 3 weeks and due to financial budget announcement the price also increased by an amount of 15K .
By the end of the 3rd week there was no updates from the dealer and came to know that it will be delayed by 1-2 week due to logistics problem. To add to the issues, the Karnataka state government announced that road tax would be increased by 1% from april 1st 2010.Left with no choice, I was forced to call Abhishek and his mangaer Sandeep and got a confirmation from the dealer that the car reached the stockyard on March 31st and got registered the same day . Due to this delay, I was not able to do a detailed PDI.

On April 5th,I took the delivery of the car and for my satisfication I did a PDI after the registration (odometer was showing 20kms,etc..)

Free Accessories given :-
Sun film,
Mud Flaps,
Floor mats,
Ganesha idol & Car Perfume

Ownership experience and drive
1. One highway drive has already been done and I was unable to keep the rpm below 2000
2. Lot of boot space
3. Build quality and drive was superb
4. Got a mileage of 19.1 during higway drive and 13.1 in city
5. Had a minor issue with rear door not opening properly. Went to the dealer and rectified it

Accessories :-

ICE
The ICE setup was done by Blueraven,Evo. Thanks a lot to Satya for giving me a good setup. He gave me audition of boston and other speaker setup and I decided to go with boston speakers
HeadUnit :- Kenwood x994 ( Thanks to FrankMehta )
Components :-
Boston S60 6.5” component speakers
Boston S55 5.25” Coaxial speakers
JBL GT5 S644 4 channel amp
Boston 12” subwoofer

Need to be done in near Future
1.Leather seats
2.Reverse parking sensors

Congrats Mate!

Did you get the BSIV compliant engine with the bhp power rated at 92.7 Bhp?

The flamingo red looks nice. How much did it cost you for the ice set up?

Congrats mate on the BSIV Linea. Do you still feel Linea to be underpowered. The FE seems to be pretty good.

Seagull76,

I got my RC in smart card after seven weeks. You do not have to worry. Concorde Motors will call and inform you about receipt of RC from RTO. Then you can go and collect it.
