you and I have some what similar taste's while selecting cars.
I value the sales representative deeply while considering any car.
He shouldn't be too desperate and on the flip side he shouldn't ignore you also :)

If more than two calls are made to my number(after the TD) ,at least for me its a major Turn off.
Stuff like "Oo shiny Brake pedal's me like's" , closing the door while the sales person is jabbering about the car , "wow this car has wonderful noise cancellation inside :)". these were some of my experiences while i was buying(rather being gifted a car).
