Big congrats for the Diesel Power!! So how are you getting used to the Non-linear turbo power?? The car is looking great post the VDi conversion! The Pearl White shade is the best color for swift, great choice!

It needs fatter tyres but i'm sure the stock tyres are too much fun !! But i guess the buy back price is pretty low or is it?

So whats next ? Double Din touchscreen HU???

Congrats faithless for your new ddis. How much did you shell out for that VDI conversion? From where did you get the ORVM painted ? From Maruti or from local shop ? Because it looks like a perfect job.

If I am not mistaken, I see GYRO sticker at the rear windshield. So does that mean that you have got the ICE installed as well. If yes, some pics please.

Many congratulations for the Vdi brother
(Can't call it an Ldi eh )

Have you gotten power windows fitted too? If so, how much they cost?

It`ll overshoot my budget so maybe ill just go for a normal double din HU.

@ repsol - Thanks ,the whole Vdi conversion cost me just 2k.

Nice catch repsol but i got that sticker when i went there to get the central locking installed.
Getting the ICE installed in a day or two ,will definitely update the thread with some pics.

@Shresth - Thanks buddy.!
Will probably get the power windows installed next month.
Aftermarket ones cost around 5k and the maruti guys quoted 6.8k for the front windows.

Faithless,

Congratulations on adding another jewel in your garage. Swift still rules in its category.

Any idea about the launch of new model of swift by MUL?

2K !!! YOu mean that you have got all those stuff @ such a low price. In fact I have got my Santro's ORVM and door handled painted for around the same amount. But you have got many more stuff at that price.

@faithless:
Congratulations for opting LDI WHITE. Looks awesome. Hardly any difference.
Just plug those heated alloys and wide tyres. It will become a hot looker around.
White color is pain to maintain in all conditions.

I spend daily sometime to clean the car just because it is white.
Plan for some wax-polish and rubbing compound as well.

Enjoi your ride!!

@ Irish - Thanks ,I asked the sales rep regarthing this and he gave me the typical delearship type answer that they have no info/news about this.

@ Repsol - The wheel covers and fog lights are aftermarket so they done cost that much and since I know the owner of the paintshop he didn't charge me much for the paintjob.

@ blackstallion76 - Thanks and after maintaining 2 black cars for around 6 years am not really worried about the white colour.

Does the Swift also not have a provision for installation of aftermarket power windows for the rear windows? I did a bit of asking around for my car but it isn't possible in the i10.

Congrats Faithless, the car looks great with the black tints.

Moreover, I think you got stock MRF tyres, correct?

Congrats faithless for the lovely swift L/VDi(?). The only gripe in the LDi is the absence of a tacho, everything else just fine IMO. Painting job tastefully done.
Happy mile crunching with the Swifty.

Got two important things done recently ,upgraded the tyres and had the ICE installed.

Posting a small report along with some pics...

I had no plans to upgrade the tyres for 5-6 months but since I had a close call few days back thanks to the (crappy) stock tyres I realized that its necessary to get better tyres for my safety.

Went to BK tyres in lajpat nagar with a fellow bhpian and got bridgestone potenza gIII's in 185/70R14 size.
I can notice the improvement in the handling and the braking.

Comparison...

Now about the ICE....

Driving without music is sooooo boring.!
I could not take it any longer so after finalizing the tyres we went straight to GYRO to get the ICE installed.
Just some simple stuff which suited my needs.

HU - Pio 6050 UB double din
Speakers - JBL 638 6' in all the 4 doors.
Damping - Noisekill i guess.

@ Caroholic and M4ugr8 - Thanks for the help guys.!
