Hi Poloman! Could you get the ring out finally?

After 20 months of ownership, I think we can relax and enjoy the ride!

No Chetan, the ring is still inside. Now that initial ownership is totally uneventful and satisfactory, we have to see how Polo performs in longtime ownership.

Shall keep an eye on the final outcome on this, it would be interesting to know how the ring was finally recovered and where it got stuck.

Some thing which always bring a smile on a Polo owner's face is the awesome paint quality. My car is 22 months old and has never undergone a professional detailing session. I wash the car once two weeks. Still the gloss is very much there. The camera is not doing justice to the actual shine.

Re: Poloman's Polo has arrived, Edit: 1 year, 13025Km, First service update

Finally took the car for a well deserved interior detailing session at 3M HSR layout. The interiors had become too much messed up. They did a reasonable job. Also opted for a foam wash. I feel the rates are too steep at around 2.5K total.
The car is 23 months old and the odo reads a healthy 24K.
Few pictures. The exteriors are not detailed.

Re: Poloman's Polo has arrived, Edit: 1 year, 13025Km, First service update

Done the second service yesterday. 24500Km/2years. I don't want to elaborate on the dealership expereince at VW down town again.Nothing has changed. But the service costed a surprisingly low Rs6800. I am in doubt whether everything meant for second service was taken care. If yes VW should be appreciated for bringing down the service costs to totally affordable levels. Mind you, Polo needs only yearly/15000km service. Other than oil and filter replacements, a spark plug item was there which costed 1250Rs. Brake pads were not replaced. No tyre alignment/rotation/balance either. Not an issue since it is better to do this in a good tyre shop.
Also renewed the insurance for Rs11500.

I have a CL TDI. For almost 7 months of no-trouble-electric-windows, today, all of a sudden, the front passenger electric window stopped working . A couple of restarts and fiddling the button I could get it rolled up, but scared to test if the problem has disappeared. I plan to take it to the workshop, but the fact that it has been reported by many people, with no real solution is making me worried. Will report if I am able to find a solution.

Probably you have covered 36000 KM by now. After 3 years of use, do you still find Clutch position uncomfortable? I am new owner of Polo and find it difficult in stop and go traffic. Any other time, it is not an issue. I have to keep readjusting my foot otherwise I can not depress clutch fully due to strange positioning of clutch.

Yes, I have covered more than 38K Kms. I agree the clutch position is uncomfortable. But with practice and correct seating position, this can be overcome to a large extent.

I guess you must have done the third service. Which service center you went this time and how was the experience?
