I too pondered around a bit about that slot but I'm told that the slot is nothing but a visiting card holder.

The slot is for holding toll tickets used on US interstate highways.

You are really fortunate to bounce upon such deal. Its a great buy and the beauty was well maintained.
How abt adding LIGHTFORCE lamps for the front bumper(Just below the Reg.Plate)?
More interior pics would do justice.

OT
I'm seriously looking for Elantra in the same way, but no luck. Lets see whats store in for me.

Re: Hyundai Tucson..Drives in at last

Yeah Mayank, Its been three years and Apart from normal maintenance expenses, I have been enjoying the ride. You do not feel tired even after 500 KM drives in a day. Apart from one clutch change at around 80K on the odo and small regular touching, My other expense has been one service every six months, averaging at 7000-7500.
But check thoroughly before you buy.
You can call me on 9356661616 whenever you want..no worries

Well, this deal fell through.
Even after prior experience, I went to a dealer, and just about got cheated.
66k on the odo, but true reading about 120+,hydraulic mount gone, slight leak of gear oil, and some issues with the 4wd.

There are some individual Tucsons listed on sites, so will be checking those out.

Can you tell me if you know how to check for a dodgy 4wd system?

Re: Hyundai Tucson..Drives in at last

Well , Dealers have an odd habit of trying to cheat on even premium cars and Tucson was a premium in the good ol days. Check on Olx in Punjab , saw a couple of good ones.

Re: Hyundai Tucson..Drives in at last

Congrats on the great find. I loved the Tucson too and always admired the few I saw.

Looks like Hyundai SUV's handle better than their cars. I drove the Sante Fe sometime back and was surprised at how composed the car felt (at high speed as well).

Wish you a trouble free ownership.

What issues did you see with the 4WD and how did you test?

When I bought mine, we lifted it on the ramp, started the engine and engaged first - all 4 wheels started rolling. I had to test the 4WD again when my wheel speed sensor failed. Here are the details: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/long-t...ml#post1400536

Absolutely.
Tucson steering weighs up very well and remains steady even at 160+
And after 4+ years of driving my Tucson, one day I drove the Verna

Well, my mechanic had cleared the car, t tested the drive in forward motion too. He forgot to to put it out of the mode. I tried to reverse the car and there was a slight jerk. He'd already told me that a gear box seal will need replacement. After the jerk he really got under the car and told me that the gear box has been opened at some point. When I told him it's a dealer car, he told me send it back right then!
Good guy.

Sorry but I don't quite understand this method of testing...
