Is there any considerable change in the road noise ?

I may get the delivery of the car on Thursday and might want to drive straight to a tyre shop for tyre replacement after the temple
many including me. I upgraded my emotion to 185/70 r14 and there IS a considerable redcution in noise. Try XM1+/Conti CPC2 also

Fantastic, When you get the time start a ownership thread. The 90HP is a fantastic car, I was very pleased after the extensive test-drive.

Congratulations and wishing you a safe and enjoyable ownership experience.

TDed and converted!!

Fiat has finally cast it's spell over me.

And this has been achieved by the Fiat Punto 90hp. An engine that finally does justice to the car's build quality and great handling.

Reading all the reviews I did not expect to find much difference from the 75 hp version. But there is. The car feels more sprightly off the move and a little more rev friendly. The car feels more agile and faster through the gears. The gear shift also felt good. I felt good shifting the gears. I daresay that this 90 bhp Punto almost feels as sprightly as the Swift.

The build quality has been discussed to death in these forums but let me say it again - no car handles rough roads and broken tarmac as masterfully as Fiat-in the sub 10 lakh segment I mean.

The dasboard consoles has a black and light gray two tone interior which looks much better.

However here in Kerala, the Fiat costs 7.67 onroad which is a bit pricey. Also the service interval is 15k kilometres. However the oil is semi sythetic and cost around 3000 rupees as per the sales executive. Compare that to the Swift at 10k kilometers and oil costs 700 rupees. Even every 20k kilometers this just means 1400 rupees for the Maruti.

Drive on!!

Ok, so the ex-showroom price has gone up by about 8K! I think you can surely bargain for free extended warranty (I got it) and also for Corp Discount if it's applicable to you.

As part of registering my Punto VGT 90HP, I had to produce a copy of a letter from the Transport Commissioner to the RTO offices listing down the Punto VGT variants which are ARAI approved and for which approval has been granted for registration.

The variants are:
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Active (90HP)
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Dynamic (90HP)
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Dynamic Pack (90HP)
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Emotion (90HP)
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Emotion Pack (90HP)
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Sports (90HP)
Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet Absolute (90HP)

I guess the Absolute version is AT. Whether all of these variants would be lauched finally is anyone's guess.

Absolute is the highest version about the emotion pack. What all would be additional on the Emotion Pack.

Can somebody throw some light on this

'Absolute' is generally the automatic version, i remember the Linea displayed in the Auto show had a T-jet Absolute which had an auto box.
