^^ Fiat Diesel cars have always been popular in Chandigarh, Punjab and some parts of Haryana. A lot of Uno D and Palio D cars can still be spotted there.

Mitsubishi Lancer D is still a very popular car in Chandigarh and Punjab.

Punjabi's love diesels. Every 3rd car is a Swift DDiS, you will hardly spot a petrol one. I know people who drive only 500-800km a month and own Swift DDiS.

Apart from that you will see hottest / bling looking Punto's in Chandigarh too. Why ?? Simple reason dealer sells 100 PCD alloys saying they are 98 PCD and will fit PUNTO's / Linea's

Mumbai also has a lot of Lineas. Puntos are slowly gaining visibility. However, Bangalore has Puntos galore!

My man! Congratulations and I sure am glad that a teambhpian booked the VGT Punto.

Good luck for the delivery, pick up the PDI checklist, give it a read even before you go to the dealership. Tell your dealer that you'd take delivery in broad daylight and will need 2 hours for a thorough PDI.

Thanks everyone! I will surely keep the forum updated.

Yesterday, my brother also booked his Linea MJD E+ from the same dealer. Planning to take delivery of both cars together. Hoping for the best..!

I agree. Was in Bangalore for a couple of weeks and being a Punto owner myself, did notice so many more puntos on the road than Mumbai Pune!

Congratulations StarrySky! From where did you book the Punto VGT? Concorde Motors or RF Motors?

I'm hopefully waiting to read your ownership report!

Regards
Amith

I agree to whats said above. I have Linea multijet, Epack. I guess the ARAI Figures show 17 kmpl for diesel varient, however I have even got a mileage of about 25.2 kmpl (without A/C- Tested during winters & about 23.5 with AC) for about a run of 130 kms within city. I travel from North delhi to Noida which puts me through busiest of roads. On Highway I have also got a mileage or 30.3 with AC with 5 passangers loaded.

All you need is to keep your RPM between 1750 to 2k and a spead not more then 75 km/hr.

Just 1 booking of Punto VGT in the "I booked my Car" thread. Can anything be deduced from this?
