Re: My Modified Hyundai i20

Wow!!

I like the touchscreen HU!! is it compatible with steering mounted audio controls?

And are those sill plates illuminated?

The color temp of the HIDs is a lil too high (to be of use)IMO(or it appears so in the pictures?)

Awaiting more pics and info!!

(Personally, I'm going for a clearcoated carbon fiber vinyl wrap on the front grille, mesh is a lil' difficult to detail!)

Re: My Modified Hyundai i20

The Black Beauty has completely swept away the White Wonder from the thread.
Jokes apart, these are two mods of diverse wavelength. One turned to be wacky and the other sporty. The choice is everyone's.

A spoiler can spoil all but can plant the car terra firma.

Awesome pics there. Is this car in Cochin? Think I have seen a black i20 with similar kind of projectors.

JVC Touch HU, its compatible with steering controls. Dont know whether he used stalk adaptor for the steering control or not. Will check and let you know.

Regarding sill plates yes its illuminated , blue coloured, its available for Rs 3500 set of 4pcs, i think its over priced but still its simply superb. So i bought one need to fix it soon.

Those projector head lamps are of 6000k, i felt the same as you.

Re: My Modified Hyundai i20

White vs black - Sporty Vs (bit) Wacky. But I like the interiors of the Black one - especially the ICE HU and the ambient lights.
I landed on this threaded looking for performance "mods" & surprised to see the aesthetic detailing .
Now my car is almost two years young, definitely would like to pick up some ideas from you guys and make it younger.

I've seen i20 owners wanting more power - even one of the cons in the start of the thread was pick up . Is there a way to boost it ?

hi Vig,

Yep there is solution to boost up the power of of your uber.
products are available in market with easy installation process.

Brand which i remember : Pete's tuning box and Race Chip.

petes will cost you around 32k and Race chip will cost you around 17k

i20 crdi with 90 bhp will turn to 109 bhp.

Both gives you the same performance. Its recomended for crdi i20, dont know about the petrol one.

Thanks webblescott.
Is it possible to change just the initial pick up ? I'm other wise ok with mid & Top range.

I can trade off 5 - 10% of my fuel efficiency for better acceleration - not more. Yesterday's Shell Price for Petrol (normal) was Rs 74.75

I paid less for my lunch - ha ha !

Aha haha ha ha, that was funny, well i dont find any other solution, dont know whether you can do something with tuning the headling a lil more, check with ur hyundai service station.

Or else Hyundai has to re think and remap the ECU.

Hey Webblescott, trust me, I was blown away with the subtle modifications you made on your beauty. It looks awesome.

Regarding the illuminated sill plates, where did you get them from? I saw them on my friends City and they indeed look beautiful. When I enquired with Hyundai they had the standard steel ones which I dint like much.

And how much did the HU cost? I am looking for a touch screen player and keep the stock speakers. Is that a possibility?
