My very first buy : ANHC 1.5SMT i-Vtec

ANHC came to my stable on 14th of July. Its almost 1 month and 1100Kms. So i think its time to start my ownership reviews.

Decision:

When we thought of buying a new car the only vehicles came to my mind were Safari and cedia (might be the influence of TBHP). I was more towards safari but my parents were least interested in this. Tried to convince them for almost 1 month, but in vain. My dad was interested in sedan only. Then came the time to present cedia before them. After the test ride he liked the cedia and we were almost on it and decided to book the vehicle within a week. No offence cedia mates

On our way back to home is the Honda Showroom. When we reached there dad told me why can't we have a look at the city. I was least interested but since my dad wanted we went inside. (Since long i haven't driven the new city). Wow the test ride was awesome. The engine was the gem of all. But it didn't had the torque the cedia had (which i preferred more). After driving and seeing the city i felt that its a bit more modern that cedia. And also i had a glut feeling that cedia might be out of the market very soon.

I and my dad have taken the test rides of almost all vehicle in 7-10 lac range. The final list were City and Cedia alone. Finally price factor came into act which gave cedia the beat. So decided for ANHC and next day went to book the vehicle ( http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post1959210 ). The delivery was actually a bit early that promised. The promised date was end of july but got the vehicle by mid july.

Booking and delivery

Booked the vehicle (Taffeta White ANHC SMT) on 28th july from Peninsular honda Trivandrum. Freebies offered were under body coating and mats. booked the vehicle by giving 30,000 as booking amount. The loan was processed by Federal bank with 10% fixed for 5 years. The yard of of peninsular honda was on the way to my office. From then everyday i used to check their yard to find wether their new lot has arrived. Then by 5th of july the guy from the showroom called me and told that the vehicle is on transit and i will have to make the full payment.

The story of the same is posted on TBHP (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...r-arrival.html).

On 10th again i got a call from the dealer saying the vehicle has arrived. Immediately i went to the showroom and fond that they were just unloading the vehicles from the container. Then went back to bank collected the Dd and settled the payment with them. The delivery was promised on 13th or 14th. On 12th they told that delivery is fixed on 14th 10:00am. 13th they took the vehicle for registration and then the under body coating was done.

DE DAY,

Wow my first vehicle. Went to the showroom with all the TBHP guidelines in mind. Checked each corner of the vehicle. While a guy was cleaning the vehicle with thinner. i asked him why thinner is used since it will affect the paint. He told me this was special type thinner used to clean the heavy dirt on the car. Ok agreed.

Walla what an experience the key handover was done to my father and a box of sweets. Later the car was moved out of the showroom to the sunlight. Ouch!!! found that the whole car was having shaded round circle all around the car. Found out that the thinner was the culprit. The showroom manger promised a full body polished and told me to bring the vehicle the next day. This was done as promised.

The experience.

I was very keen on the drive-in period. Till today it havent passed 2000RPM. But yes once or twice while overtaking reached 3000rpm. But till now the experience was outstanding. Since then we were using a zen and the ANHC is definitely making a huge difference. My driving include 75% city and rest in highways.

The engine is super silent and i twice accidentally turned the ignition while engine is on. Now before even touching the key i will check the RPM meter. The hand rest was getting dirty very soon. So removed the fabric with black leather. Its matching the black strip going through the door.

The detailed experience is to be continued.. Time for Pictures

Hey, congratulations for the new car!

Please share the OTR price that you paid.
Any specific reason for chosing S variant over the V? Just curious

Why they are using the thinner? Are you sure that it is thinner? There are Honda approved professional products for any kind of cleaning etc. They are not supposed to use these unapproved products.

Yes it was thinner. I saw the bottle which they were using and confirmed that it was thinner. After my issue they told that they stopped using this.

The mats look nice and well covered how much it costs if one has to buy them?

Thanks Jayanth. This was given as a freebee by the dealer. They call it transparent mat. I think it costs Rs.900/-
