Anyone with as similar experience??

I also hear a bit of a squeaky sound from some where between the front right wheel and the dashboard especially when going over bumps
Cannot make out exactly from where as am driving at the time Help Help
Hey jerry congrats on the new xylo. hope you enjoy her like i do.

For your first question its a simple matter of clutch play adjustment which takes about 5 mins at the A.S.S. I faced this as well but got it fixed immediately. Second question- The squeaking noise is what i am worried about. I started getting squeking noise after about 20K on the odo. The A.S.S changed my upper arm and its fixed now. But squeking noise in a new vehicle get it checked ASAP.

Thanks Rocky for the concern
The squeaking sound is something like you get from an old spring bed when you sit on and is not always continuous just when you are going over a bumpy patch
Anyway will get it checked out ASAP and also the clutch plate adjust

Coming to the "enjoy" part - believe me I was really JEALOUS of all you Xyloians when you would post with such loving details of your driving experience especially once I had booked mine and was waiting for the paperwork cheque etc etc
If I liked the Xylo enough to have bought it - Well I now love it and unashamedly promote the Xylo everywhere
Like you said everyone including those who have seen, sat and driven this marvel are all ardent admirers and maybe even J themselves
Despite what everyone else may say or do I am thoroughly satisfied and happy
looking forward to a long drive to Chandigarh soon
Thanks once again and happy xyloing
Jerry

@Rocky,

They replaced your upper arm for the squeaking noise in Xylo. Now you must be armed guy.

@Jerry,

The interior pics are still due, do post them after you got the seat covers done. How much running is done till date? Also has the squeaks been taken care of.

Interiors - finally

Well guys like the elusive rains in Pathankot finally I am ready with the pictures of the interiors and of the new seat covers!!!
Sorry for the long wait but believe me I was getting equally impatient to share but just was not happening

Coming to the updates
Driving is still unbelievable and really a pleasure
Have been going out with almost two or even three families and the Xylo with the music and comfort keeps everyone asking for more

For all those concerned with the squeaking sound - well its gone since we have been having bone dry weather Will check again if it returns after the next rains

A slight problem of sorts
Well the distance to zero fuel on the DDAS ran down to zero and has not updated despite doing a reset trip etc etc
I had filled 13litres when it was showing approx 28kms to zero and then again topped up the tank after a few days but still no signs of reset
I had opened the fuel lid with the dash switch as suggested by the booklet
The booklet says fill up before 30 km to zero dont know if that is the problem
When I took delivery of the vehicle though it was equally low on fuel (almost 5 lit) but started updating as soon as I filled up on two occasions

Once again hope you enjoy the new photos
More to follow
Cheers

Was lucky with the seat covers got it from a local dealer for Rs 2800
The great part is the colour match is even better than what M&M have to offer as the cream and brown match with the interiors perfectly

The biggest Boo boo on the Xylo - M&M are you listening

The door handle
Seems someone dozed off in the middle of the design team meeting right here
The only thing that could really really be upgraded right away
Its so small yet so important and of daily use and will suffer at the "hands" of many a rough passenger
Possibly the only thing that makes me sad in the Xylo
M&M are you listening

Have your DDAS reset. Also ask them to check the float.

Go by your fuel gauge.

Hi jerry good to hear the squeking noises are gone. Great interiors by the way. The sore part that you have mentioned is what i have been screaming is bad in Xylo from the start(BAD plastics). I have actually even had a verbal communication with M&M when they had called to check up on the status and satisfaction with my vehicle.

@Ghodlur good idea with the armed thing. On a serious note I have a few contacts at the A.S.S and the rubber bushing inside the arm had slipped hence the entire arm was replaced under warranty as goodwill.

In any case will have to drive up to Jalandhar to the A S S
Would love to do the drive just for the chance to do a long drive but sadly work does not permit
Hope to sneak off soon

Thanks Sahil
Will have to make a sustained effort to wake up M&M and hope that some one else in the future benefits
They have proved that on so many counts they can actually "be different" in terms of comforts and little goodies so maybe they should go that extra mile
well you've inspired me to take it up with M&M Will keep you all posted
Happy xyloing
