A small update

Two services down. Total service cost Rs. 6500 including the semi synthetic so called Italian engine Oil.

Car humming along perfectly at 11000 KM. Ride quality is awesome, interiors dont have any rattles as yet and the engine has opened up slightly.

Big drive in it. I really like the MID in this. Its a fascinating thing for a car that costs so little. And the configurable stuff, however basic, is still fun

i am going to take my linea MJ diesel for the 15k service tomorrow. I heard that there is a recall of the timing belt of all Linea, is this true has anyone got it replaced?

Its a timing chain recall for MJD's,and not all models are affected.
you may ask the service advisor to check against the VIN of your car.
Mine was replaced a few months back

My Car is a March 2010,its not manufacturing date dependent.
Certain series of VIN numbers have been provided to tata.
Check at aftersales.

Mine is Oct 2009 make. Checked with both the Sales and Service dealers if my Linea has been recommended this change by FIAT. Both dealers didn't find anything for my VIN.

In nutshell, for my Linea recall/replacement of timing chain was not applicable.

Thank you friends, the SA informed me that my vehicle is no in the list of timing chain recall list. I happy that my car is not in the list, dont know how perfect the TAS S will do the change of timing chain replacemnt . I am planning to take the vehicle after wednesday only due to tight schedule. I will update all once its done.

today i took the car for service of 15K just now the SA told me the job is over and it costs me 6300.00.
I had complained about the loud noise of the AC fan, the sa told me that its the normal sound. Is it like this ! i suspect something wrong with the fan to make such a loud nosie when the fan is on. Has any one facing the issue of loud noise of the AC fan. did anyone replaced the fan and the noise went down?

please advice me regarding this AC fan noise.

one more thing is it mandatory to change the AC pollen filter. i think since fiat has changed the pollen filter from the paper one to the plastic mesh one there is no need for changing it, but SA told its mandatory . please share your experience with me.
