flying spur....i always wanted to get the 530d . well i have a few plans already but will drive it in stock condition for around 10k .
i am getting a few things initially viz
few m stickers , illuminated door sills , srainless steel pedals ,m spoiler and exaust finisher. The H&R spacers will also be there. will post pre delivery shots real soon.

abk..the 540i is a gr8 car but not available in India . its a NA engine while my 530d is a turbo diesel , a simple remap will take my car to near 300bhp/620NM torque . in that state of tune it would be a handful for any performance car. there is drag race video between an e46 m3 and a e60 530d 300bhp in you tube where the M3 was made to eat dust by the 530d.0-100 in 5.6sec is awesome for a diesel.

Awesome pics, Nirmal. How I miss the E60 already, those tail lamps are just beautiful. Not a patch to this, the F10.

Nice to hear you have plans already. If I may, please resist the temptation to go OTT with the stickering. I don't think that will be a problem considering how dignified a missile your 320d was

I agree with the mod, please no stickers, it just dosent suit any car besides an M.

Of course i would suggest you get the M-sport front bumper at least if not the full kit.

Congrats on your car, you are one lucky person.

flyingspur... well there wont be any OTT stickering. just an M badge at the fenders.

akshay1234 ...The M-sport kit is very expensive ie 3.5lakh . looking for some good used ones.

do u guys recommend vcool tints , if so which colour or shade will go well with silver ?

Nirmalkrishnan,
Congrats on the beauty.
I picked up mine a few months back, would recommend getting the OEM Ipod cable as you would have the 6FL option for the USB port in the armrest. Also get an Idrive update & have the voice control activated.BMW did it free for me here in Gurgaon. Also get a space saver spare kit as you have space in the bootwell for added peace of mind.

Cheers.

Congrats on the excellent buy ! wise choice made in the end ! Hardly matters that the e60 is going out and f10 is coming in. THIS is 1 decision you will never regret. If i am not mistaken ,even today we have more people giving second looks to the e60 rather than the f10
Divine engine , killer looks , all the goodies most might need.
I read about you beefing up your car's performance by chipping it etc. In that case, how about replacing the yellow corona rings with WHITE ones ??? Someone recently posted pics of an e60 and an m3 with white corona rings and god do they look awesome !!
About the V-kool part, Black would go real well . If not ,certain shades of blue and silver itself would look great ! you just need to make sure that the shades are not overly reflective. That would really completely spoil the look IMO.

Dull black tints make best sense! Bound to look good keep family happy and the cops far away! (Have seen a cop harass a last gen merc-E driver here in bangalore)

I just hope and pray they don't give you those stupid run-flats. While they are peace of mind. They're also a pain in the back and real slippy in the wet (you have to be in a real mood to push till there ;-) if you know what I mean)

Congrats on the sleeper though!

They will surely give the run flats. All Beemers ( not sure about the Ms ) come with run flats as standard. He will have to replace them with tubeless from outside, which is not a bad idea at all.

Congrats! the e60 defines Old is Gold in this case. It's still a stunner!!

As for the tints, I have vcool on my silver e60 but wouldn't recommend it as it's too pricey and not worth it. Get the Llumar Steel35 in dark grey shade, will look super on your car. I have the same on my fortuner while Platzdaturbo has the darker shade of it on his. It's the closest to the black shade as can get.

Of the accessories you mentioned I'd recommend just two- the tuning box for shizzle!! And the M5 style boot lip spoiler which are available for around 150$ on bay when I checked last.

The Highline alloys you mean. The normal 530d rims are nothing great.

Yes yes i mean those big sexy ones.18 inch if i'm not wrong.See a set nearly everyday on my way to work.

This is one car that i lusted after but it came and went by without me being able to gather enough funds to get one.I hope there will be more such sporty luxury saloons in the future when i'm in a position to get one.
