I was just reflecting the other day that the BMW 5 series is my "perfect car". Perhaps someday I shall share the joy! Congrats on your purchase nirmalkrishnan, and do keep posting!

well those wheels are m6 replicas and can be got for a bargain price. I will use the original center cap logo itself . they do weight even lesser than original m6 wheels . I ahve 4 m stickers with me for just that purpose.

went for a 200km drive yesterday and petroguzzler you are spot on , the steering is pure unadultrated fun.

excellent purchase, not many people would spend a fortune on an outgoing model.
i agree with you a 100% that the new 5 series does not look as sharp as the older one.
i saw both the e60 and the f10 side by side and the e60 surely grabs your attention.

Saw your car today.
New wheels looks fabulous.clap:

hi mithunkb , where did u see my car ?

Anyway here are a few shots with the m6 wheels. my only problem is that these are 8j rims and the 225 section tyres appear stretched on them and hence feels smaller. 245/45/17 is the correct tyre size for these alloys.

Hi Nirmal, The Bimmer looks fantastic. And its a 530d too...

I loved the rims.

But what I perhaps liked even more was the small glimpse I caught of a street somewhere in Thrissur. Feel nostalgic, though i don't have much of a claim.

One thing I got to say is... You certainly have taste. You didn't take the Merc route so many others take.

got new 18inch m rims and 245/45/18 tyres (hankook evo ventus v12).
here are a couple of snaps . check out the m side skirts too.

1. Where did you find the M Sports wheels? Cost, etc?

2. Comparison of hankook vs previous tire performance and comfort?

3. Which sun film does it have? I'm eager for one.

Also, install the M Tecknik body kit and M5 side mirrors. And uninstall the mud guards. :P ;)

Sweeeet alloys man! They are relicas?

Are those oe or alzors?

Why did you not get the 5 spoke highline alloys? they look sweet on the E60 :)

Just missing the M5 front bumper. That changes the whole look of the car :)

I got these wheels from dubai. they are light used original m wheels that i got for a gr8 price

well hankook are way more comfortable than yokohama advan sport and has very similar grip levels atleast in dry tarmac. surprisingly my car rides better on 18inch (probably because of the higher profile i am using)

sunfilms are gareware icecool series , not very expensive but effective.

i want to uninstall the mud guards but since i payed 8k for them i will wait till the monsoon is over

My car came with 17inch rims for some reason.

Hate to break this news to you, especially now since it's too late. But I think your dealer took you for a ride on the alloys. The highline NEVER came with those alloys. So he has switched them with 17inchers of a regular 530d non-highline.

Shameful if this is true.
