Vikram, like any other service centers, it is the charge for the particular paid service. Mahindra has the same and the amount varies based on the KM reading, whether it is a major service, what is included etc.

In SK KarZone, all standard Labor charges like brakes cleaning / replace, oil change, mechanical checks, electrical checks, washing etc are included in 1900 Rs, as I understand.

Mahindra normally charge for many of these things like washing, cleaning, separately, and even their paid service charge is almost double if I remember correctly.

Hope that answers.

re: Dream come true : My white Scorpio SLE. EDIT: Sold

Updating this thread after long time. Driving has been reduced over the last few months.

Last week the Scorpio went through the 80K KM paid service. Serviced again at SK Karzone Bangalore. From 65K KM onwards I have been regularly taking to SK Karzone for services and it has been an excellent, pleasant experience getting it done over there.

The best thing with SK is standing next to the car when work is being done, with that I could also learn a few more things about the car and service.

Things done at 80K service (no oil change):
- Paid Service charges - 1900 Rs
- Wiper change front and back - 1200 Rs
- Synthetic Transmission / Gear oil - 3000 Rs
- Engine Additive - 1800 Rs (as recommended by them, claiming to reduce overall vibrations )
- Hose Clip - 60 Rs

Every time at SK, the car has been thoroughly serviced, like:
- Front and rear brakes cleaned thoroughly and serviced
- Clutch Oil flush and replaced at every 5K service (making clutch more light than before)
- Engine bay thoroughly inspected for any leakage (few times observed coolant minor leakage) and get them fixed
- All Mechanical and Electricals thoroughly checked
- during 75K service Intercooler thoroughly cleaned and serviced.

Scorpio is now currently running on:
- Engine Oil - Fully Synthetic
- Transmission/Gear Oil - Fully Synthetic
- Brand New Brake Oil, Clutch Oil, Differential Oil, Coolant etc.
- Thoroughly Cleaned Intercooler
- Relatively new and cleaned Air Filter and brake pads
- Fuel Filter and Oil Filter replaced as and when it is necessary

Now we can say confidently that most of the things in the car is taken care properly and the best possible manner. It was all done in front of my eyes to my satisfaction.

Overall the car is more and more smoother to drive and gives more peace of mind, mainly owing to the service it receives.

Scorpio has also been receiving the Smart Wax quarterly cleaning, polishing, detailing work at Carzspa (Pete's authorized place at Whitefield, Bangalore), I have taken AMC for that.

And lastly, every 5 K KMs, wheel alignment and balancing is done at Madhus Enterprises, Bangalore. Every time RoadForce Balancing is done and there is no issue observed for the next 5K KM, usually. Current set of Tires are reaching 30K mark and still going strong, Michelin Latitude Cross.

re: Dream come true : My white Scorpio SLE. EDIT: Sold

Updating this thread after a very long time:

This Scorpio still remains with me and have been an awesome experience owning and driving it so far. Currently it has completed 98K Kms, inching to the milestone 1Lak kms. Without any major issues or troubles whatsoever (touchwood)

Due to lockdown and working from home scenario, the usage of the vehicle has been really less and I was taking it out occasionally for the important and unavoidable stuff.

Below are the summary updates from the last 80K kms service update post earlier.

Jan-2018:
@ 85K Kms at India Garage, Whitefield (Big Bazar):
  • Regular checkup, Coolant top-up done.
  • Engine oil inspected to be good enough not requiring change/top-up.

May-2019:
@ 90K Kms at India Garage, Whitefield (Big Bazar):
  • Engine Oil changed to Amsoil 5W-40 API CK-4 (6.5 ltr) - Fully synthetic
  • Oil Filter replaced
  • Handbrake cable replaced
  • Rear brake drum liners replaced
  • A/C filter replaced
  • Differential oil replaced
  • Front brake pads cleaned
  • Air filter cleaned
  • Coolant toped up
  • Transmission oil checked
  • Issues resolved: A/C gas and A/C oil refilled. Rear left-back power windows assembly replaced. Rear brake light bulb replaced

@ 90K kms at Madhus Enterprise:
  • Road Force Balancing, Wheel alignment done

Jun-2019:
@ 90K Kms at India Garage, Whitefield (Big Bazar):
  • Rear suspension rod bushes replaced. 2 Horizontal rods and 2 vertical rods. Total 8 bushes replaced (proactive measure)
  • Issues resolved: Power loss issue: MAF sensor cleaned, Air filter replaced. Turbo modulator replaced
  • Issues resolved: Hicups: Fuel filter replaced
  • Note: Both power loss and hiccups were due to bad quality fuel. Even though I was mostly filling from Shell petrol bunk, during occasional long drives, we are forced to fill fuel from unknown bunks.

Jun-2020:
@ 95K Kms at India Garage, Whitefield (Mahadevapura):
  • General full checkup
  • Front and rear link stabilizer bars replaced
  • Engine oil top-up (Amsoil 5W-40 API CK-4)
  • All mechanicals checked
  • All electricals checked
  • Brake pads cleaned and bleeding done
  • Wiper washer and blades replaced
  • Other fluids top-up

@ 95K kms at Madhus Enterprise:
  • Road Force Balancing, Wheel alignment done

Oct-2020:
@ 96K Kms at ERAM motors, Palakkad, Kerala
  • A/C not working. A/C evaporator coil replaced
  • Cooling gas and oil refilled
  • Regular check and inspection done
  • Full internal sanitization done

@ 98K KMs and 11 years of usage, Scorpio is running on:
1) Its Original clutch
2) 2nd set of tires (Michelin latitude Cross)
3) Its original factory paint. Barring some of the Bangalore city friendly marks on its bumpers, this Scorp hasnt had any need for any bodyworks so far.

Current looks:

What I like about this Scorpio:
- Strong sturdy build and go anywhere attitude and aggressive stance. Other vehicles don’t try to mess-around and give way to Scorpio
- Raw Power delivery in all gears, unleashes a beast from the word – GO
- Easy to handle compared to its size. Gives enough confidence during drives
- Magnificent front view for the Driver, and overall 360 degree view
- Overall Build quality is very good, didn’t have any issues with mechanical or electricals during the 11 years together
- Inside space is awesome and I have carried large items inside without any issues. I always carry my fully assembled Cycle inside when going for weekend rides outside city
- I feel it is one of the silent, smooth Scorpio that I have come across so far

re: Dream come true : My white Scorpio SLE. EDIT: Sold

Mostly, this would be a final update from me about this Scoprio thread on Team-BHP, as I have decided to part ways with it after 11 years of trouble free relationship (with great difficulty for deciding and many back and forth). Decided to upgrade to a Fortuner 4X4 MT.

Everyone in my family, now feel sad about letting the Scorpio go, but there is no point in keeping 2 vehicles in the current times when the usage part is limited due to the pandemic restrictions. I was surprised to hear my wifey admiring the pictures on the Scorpio when I was taking them to post for the sale ad. She used to compare it with the ride comfort of our earlier Honda City, however as a driver of the vehicle I had enjoyed every moment of this vehicle - its raw power and beasty mannerism, the intimidating looks, road response from other vehicles and trouble free ownership with it so far. As a family we are very attached closely to this vehicle.

As a parting respect to the Mighty Muscular beast, took it to The Car Laundry in Whitefield, Bangalore and did a clean, polish and deep cleaning of interiors. They did a very good job and I was happy with it. Posting it here also.
