Vento -- My Horse of Battle, Horse of Ballet!

Home I brought my Vento* alive
For me to cruise, for Marco** to jive
In spotless white and saddle all black
With a mighty heart and muscles to attack
Behold his majesty, behold his grace
Behold the dressage when he runs his pace
My horse of battle, my horse of ballet
My Lipizzaner stallion is ready to play!

Congrats On the Vento. Looks gorgeous! You have bought the Petrol which is rare among T-Bhpians. Please keep updating this thread for benefit of all Petrol-Heads!

I am happy to see that Vento has 5 lugs!

@msprabhakar
The Vento looks great, the Stanely seats better but Marco is the best, the undisputed star of your photo set. How come you guys are not on the following thread http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...heir-pets.html

BTW what is the location of your photo shoot, very well kept green area. Is it the Wellington club by any chance.

Hi Prabhakar

Both your battle or ballet horse is wonderful.
i liked the picture where your dog is seated on the rear seat.
seat covers are wonderful.

Do you intend to upload the ownership review ? i would like to learn more about VW ownership pleasures. How is the VW dealership in Mumbai ?
How is the spread of after sales service set ups ?, do they have one Thane, Navimumbai ?

Win your Battles, Enjoy your Ballet, Take care of your Partner
Drive Safe, Have Fun.

Thanks for your compliments and wishes! I've given my initial feedback in another related thread. I'll keep updating as I discover.

VW Downtown at Prabhadevi is all that I can comment about. I never got to test drive Vento before booking. I think the guys there are overworked since that was the only showroom for VW when Vento was introduced in August. I believe there are a couple more (at S'Cruz and Chembur), but this is insufficient for Mumbaikars' appetite.

Service interval is earlier of 15,000 km or 1 year. Warranty is 2 years' unlimited mileage. There are service outlets in Lalbaug, Chembur, Thane and Andheri.

My neighbour explored my car yesterday and commented that the rear seat is quite firm and does not offer much comfort. I immediately checked and found this to be very true. Since I've never used the rear seat, I missed noticing this all along. I find this very surprising because VW has claimed that they have innovated on a seat adjustment lever for the comfort of the rear passenger.

What's the use if rear passengers are going to feel like they're sitting on a cushioned bench?

I feel very bad for Marco since he never complained!

Congratulations on the car! Please note that Team-BHP does not permit booking / buying experience threads in the Test-Drives section anymore. For the benefit of members & guests alike, it is now imperative to include a complete report on the car (the driving experience / comfort / features, what you like, what you don't like etc.).

This thread is temporarily closed. Please report this post once you are ready to update with a complete driving report; that's when it shall be re-opened. Thanks for your support.
