May be he might be following/knowing that method. The correct method, I reckon, is using a single film, shaping it perfectly to the curvature using a heat gun and then sticking it.

But if you are OK with the current ones, I would say leave it as such since the defogger is at risk if not handled carefully and thats a bigger headache.

Nice car (though I didn't like the steering cover). what's the rotary knob on the door near the RHS ORVM? Is it adjuster?

Yes pradipk, its the electric ORVM adjuster knob. I feel its placed intelligently on the Figo. Neat.

yes, it is electrical ORVM adjuster for both R and L ORVMs. There are three dots, thurn left friom the center one to adjust the left and right from the center to adjust the right mirror (DUH!!)

Have driven the car for 2380 kms now. Scheduled 1st servicing was yesterday. Will be picking up the car today. Below are my findings before the first service:

Pros:
1. Very matured on road performance (you all know about it).
2. Excellent ride in both in city and highway. I have driven it at 120 km/h and its neat.
3. Handles pot holes very gracefully. The highway to in inlaws place (Kalyani) in really bumpy and is one of the worst roads in kolkata. Some of the bumps on the road dont feel anything from inside but some are real nasty. Unfortunately on my high trips I happen to land on some massive potholes and my heart aches when ever it happens. Couple of days back, only on my way back from there, hit two bumps. I hope the suspension does get messed up. Will it?
4. The music system is just AWESOME. Its just party inside at volume at mere 15.
5. More highway run returns approx. 16 km/l and in city approx. 14 km/l and that too before first service.
6. Feature wise it just great for the price.Real VFM

Cons:
1. The ground clearance is not that great. I happen to scrape the underbody couple of times. Need to get it checked by the service guy.
2. There is a rattling sound on the right rear side inside the cabin. Havent figured it out yet. Might be the local guys who did the seat covers have messed up something. Open issue for the service guy.
3. Headlight when low beam is preety low. Need to adjust it.
4. Stearing cover is grippy but need to fix the fitting.
5. The accessories guy didnt install the sun-film right. There are some air bubbles inside. I have spoken to the guy and he is goign to replace it.
6. Happen to miss the reverse gear sometimes. As in it didnt get into the slot right. Also with the case of 2nd gear. It was preety firm when it was brand new. Need to ask the service guys to look into it.
7. The full matting provided by then isnt that good. I should have gone for after market.

I calculated by the tank full to full method. I am getting a fuel efficiency of 15.55 km/l (440 kms for 28.3 l). This was re-fueling just after the service. Need to check if there has been any improvement in the mileage post first service.

I think mileage would increase by around 1 km after around 5K on the ODO.
