In my Fiesta, if I hold down both Lock and Unlock buttons together for 3 seconds, there is a small chirp and the key is programmed to open all doors with one click. Do it again, and it opens only the driver's door with one click and rest of the doors with another click.

This feature is programmable in the Fiesta key, so I guess it should be programmable in a vehicle costing twice as much! Give it a try or search the manual for a hint.

I will give that a shot. The multiple clicks required to unlock all the doors is proving to be the single biggest nit in this car !

1. I like your SUV (Small Utility Vehicle). I think the outside dimensions are small. But once you sit inside, it does give you SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) feel. Just that for the price, I'd buy bigger vehicle. I like the car though. Thorough piece of engineering. Let me tell you, there is no better feeling than being aware of that fact that your vehicle is well engineered and no corners have been cut.

2. :OT ManU ain't winning the Champions League. Barca will beat it hollow in the final; just like we did in 2008. Simply the best footballing club planet earth has ever witnessed. Hail Barca!

All doors in my Yeti unlock with a single click on the remote. I can't recall whether this was by default or if I programmed it this way.

However, at least we know for sure that it is very much possible to have single click "all doors unlocked" operation.

"When using the central locking and unlocking system, all the doors and the fuel filler flap* are locked or unlocked at the same time (if it was not set differently in the menu point Setup - Convenience of the information display*). The boot lid is unlocked when opening." (page 40-41 of the owners manual.) You can also set this to open a single door or both doors on the driver's side ( via the MID menu) supposedly.

I double checked. If you go to the setup in MFD. Go to the menu for convenience settings. Doors. Then select "All Doors" in Manual. This would result in all doors opening with one click on the remote.

Finished 5000KM on the Yeti and what better a moment to do a "Story so far" ...

First thanks to Sushil for the tip on unlocking doors with the remote. Now just a single press unlocks the entire car !

There are so many things that I like about the car and makes me feel satisfied for having made this choice. And like any other car, there are nits here and there.

- The engine continues to surprise and seems to have the juice in reserve whenever summoned. The rush of torque in the power-band is very addictive. Combine this with the perfect suspension, you can continue surging ahead when other cars on the road slow down for undulations on the road. Brilliant.

- The gear shift is slick compared to all other SUVs in the market. But certainly not the slickest. The one on my Ikon was much more sporty and fun.

- The body roll is not felt at all. Especially at higher speeds when the suspension simply glides over!

- Driving in the night or in rain or at night when it rains is joy. The day-night mirrors, the wide beam fogs that really are an additional set of headlights, the auto-wipers, the tall seating; all contribute to make is easy to drive in adverse conditions.

- The wiper stalk and ACC controls are complicated and I keep forgetting how to use them properly. And I am a fairly geeky techie ...

- The driver and passenger seats are super-comfy. At the end of a tiring day, I look forward to sink in them on my way back. I rarely sit in the back seat so do not have much first hand experience to share. But the impression is that it is a bit too upright even though there is a lot of legroom.

- The interiors are inviting and small things like the theatre lights that fade in / fade out on entry/exit are simple great. They never gave me original mats so I can't comment on the quality. The local black ones look ugly and I am seriously thinking of doing something about that.

- The rear and front "optical" parking guides are too good to be true. I rarely look over my shoulder to reverse thanks to their accuracy and function.

- In my test-drive I had thought that the steering is too light. On the contrary, it turns out that it is a little heavy, especially at slow speeds. The turning radius is outrageously short.

- I am not sure if I am hallucinating, but it seems to me that the ACC has developed an error in its calibration. I need to set it to a lower temperature than earlier.

- The boot cover tray is a pain and restricts space. Remove it and you will find that the boot space is very large.

- My wife hates the fact that she can't control the ICE from the back seat :0

- "You arrive fresh" where-ever you go. Thanks to the effortless power delivery and comfortable suspension.

- Have a nice long scratch on the side that I have decided not to repair. An act of vandalism. The red color in bright sunshine is too attractive to go un-noticed.

- In the six or so months of ownership, I have been asked the price of the car by absolute strangers no less than 25 times. Love it or hate it, this car sure does invite a reaction!

Off late, hearing a lot of positive comments on Kagu 3D floor mats. Why don’t you check if they have it available for the Yeti? I remember reading about this shop called Hot tracks (not sure of the exact name) in Bangalore which sell these mats.

Congratulations on clocking 5,000 km.

I completed 15,000 km about two weeks ago, and got the first service done. Since the first service I have clocked another 1,000 km.

We also went on a long - 5,000 km - drive from Pune-Banswara-Jaipur-Pinjore-Narkanda-Khara Pathar-back to Pune. What an effortless and enjoyable 10 days of a driving holiday! Will write about that in appropriate thread.

The service itself comprised of oil-change, replacement of Oil, air and a/c filters, tyre rotation and wheel balancing. It was substantially painless, except it took an entire day. I thought the service station was a tad slow.

The Yeti continues to behave well and performs as it did on day one.

Of late I am noticing an increasing number of Yetis on road in spite of not so good sales. It appears that Yeti owners just like to drive more. This is certainly the case with me. Prior to purchasing Yeti, I'd drive about 1000 km per month. Now the figure is close to 2000. And what is more I really enjoy each one of them!

Good to be in the company of fellow Yeti-owners. I recently was approved to join Team-bhp (after following for a long time!). I also own a Black Skoda Yeti, Ambiente version and am based in Gurgaon. I got deleivery of the Yeti on 12th Dec 2010, and have so far driven around 8800 kms.

The option I have gone for car mats is from a company called "Elegant Mats" - these are available at most Auto accessory shops and the good thing is that you can get them in quite a few colours options. They are custom stitched for the Yeti (barring the lug holes not being there). They cost me around 2000 Rs, and depending on the design, the price varies.

@GloryManUnited - It has been a long time since you updated your thread. How is the car running now? We would love to hear some more about it! :)

We see your Yeti on sale?? What happened?

@GloryManUnited: The Yeti is quite a capable vehicle and you're one of the few lucky ones to have owned the unique color!

Old post but yes, I have the Kagu 3D mats for my Yeti, sourced two years ago approximately, from Hot Tracks Bangalore.
