re: Story of my Italian horse - Fiat Punto 90HP. EDIT: Sold!

Congrats on the 90HP Punto, Raj. I wish you love clocking miles on her. Do keep us updated on the FE and maintainence part.

BTW, If i were you, I would have retained the OEM alloys. They are gorgeous and cost around 10k a piece if bought separately. You could have painted/powder coated the OEM alloys gun metal/black instead, to get some exclusivity. Nonetheless, your new alloys look good! Are you planning to trade your stock alloys?

Such paint jobs dont last long. with use, they either chip away or lose their gloss/shine. I wanted to avoid that.

Yes, I am selling my stock alloys.

Stunning! Clock in more miles and the engine will open up. I am sure after 3-4k kms you won't miss the mhawk much. I won't be surprised if your Pintu becomes your primary car for city and highway both
Congratulations!

Thanks buddy. I wont be taking out the scorpio now unless I need to seat more than 2 people comfortable or I need that boot space!

This car's trip meter is promising an average of 14 kmpl in city with AC!

About opening the rev, I am just being paranoid. The sales executive did tell me that no run in is required but I just want to be gentle with her for the first 1000 kms. the next 2000 kms (before her first service), I will floor her.

I did get the alloys in white but they were not matching my car's color & moreover, they would be difficult to maintain.

Dear Raj - hello after a long time. Congratulations on buying a Punto 90 BHP diesel. I too have this car in my subconscious radar. Just tell me one thing. Is the power sufficient? You know what kind of power I want. Also, please do something similar to what I showed you in my car. You know what I mean.

Please PM your mobile number to me or call me. Need to talk.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Many congratulations on the car. The Punto is a stunner. Nice wheels too.
Have a great time with the car.

PS: You've made the effort of concealing the number plate in every picture, except the last one. Missed it in the excitement of posting the pictures

Congrats on the BNW Punto. Like many have mentioned, the alloys gel well with the car. Get the grill painted black and dark tints will only enhance the looks further.

Do enjoy many more happy miles with the Punto.

I am a sucker for details and so glad that you haven't gone in for those ugly mud flaps. All they do it spoil the beautiful italian lines of the car.

Where you going to get the roof done from Raj? Why not get a carbon fiber sticker for it? Will cost a bit though.

Do you think you can live with a bodykit? I saw one which is subtle but looks really good.

Check this site out - Bodykit Accessories for Fiat Grande Punto 2005 - 2010

Also these headlights are good - https://www.dectane.de/index.php?cat...8a2a2fc9757329 Worth the price IMO

Well Akhilesh,
The mudflaps also serve a very humble and important purpose. Its our responsibility to make sure we don't spray those not in car, with muck. Even if the mudflaps spoil the looks...

Cheers.
