re: My new Chevrolet Cruze in White! EDIT : PICS on Page 2

From personal experience, these clamp on spoilers can cause rust to form on the boot around the place where it is clamped. Also the clamp will keep hitting the body everytime you shut the boot lid causing damage.
Going by the low profile tires, I'm guessing that the spoiler will start rattling soon. If you are fixed on the spoiler, better you have it drilled on.
I had fitted a similar clamp on spoiler to my verna and it didnt last 3 months.

Congatulations Subu on your buy.. Car looks cool after your modifications.. On a lighter side you could have gone for a black cruze instead of turning your white car into black

Here's the link for high security number plates
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...tes-india.html

I think these can be done by most stickering shops in GP road itself.

Well the use of it as mentioned in UTSAV website is that your car is highly secured and anti-theft proof. Do not know exactly how it helps, may be anyone who has it might be the right one to explain.

Even i thought of doing it for my beat and they told me that it would cost 1000-1200 in chennai last year (normal number plates costed 800), but i did'nt have time to do it till now since the vehicle is not in a major city.

Wish you a happy and safe driving.

As far as i know i don think there should be any problems in painting the brake calipers in red, however you still might want to check with chevy. Also make sure you get it done from a competitive garage.
Super rich is a damn good site. I've visited this site lot of time for visualizing (or day dreaming) for my future mods on cruze. Have you considered the merc inspired tail lamps? They look pretty cool.

re: My new Chevrolet Cruze in White! EDIT : PICS on Page 2

@pras: I will definitely talk to the modders regarding this - this is good info. Thanks.
@informmaha: A black cruze - I definitely thought of it But it doesn't lend itself to mods as a white one does
@ashish: I looked at various mods on that site, finally decided no point in making my car look like another branded one and went for custom mods that will just make it unique. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

SubuS, Congratulations for your Diesel Rocket!!!

The blackened tail lamps look very appealing, but i have a concern. With the tail lamps darkened you might have limited the effectiveness of the reflectors, which for me are a important safety feature. How about getting White body colored reflectors on the bumpers?

Please post some more pictures of the car.

Personally I think the blackened tails make it look ricer, while the other mods make it very sport and classy. I think you should get rid of them. Also leave the gold as is, but what you can do is debadge the rear i.e remove all the badges but the chevy logo.

And please get the plates changed.

Overall its looking great Congrats. Some pics of the interiors too please, I want to see the changes.

Heh - I am a ricer (tamilian - I eat rice - poor joke:() - so that doesn't bother me.

Plates - I am trying to think of a decent alternative. the Utsav ones sound good, but I am worried about the fitting sizes. will try to look up the dealers for this.

Subu, I honestly think the pictures that you posted are not justfying the actual look of the car as most of them have come out with blue tinge.

Can you take pictures in daylight and if possible with a better camera of both exterior and interiors to get an accurate picture

Try to retain the plates as per government standards. I am still wondering if making the ears(side mirrors) black will bring out that beautiful black theme or will make the side mirrors appear cheap. Cant picture :(

@VW2010 - A car like the one that my wife loved: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ooiqCxFab5...Front+Side.jpg

@mobike: the camera is a D7000 with a great wide angle lens I am just a bad photographer. I will try out different settings on it. (I think the blue tinge is due to the fact that I forgot to put my UV filter on or the fact that I had a bad setting for scene!)

Re: My new Chevrolet Cruze in White! EDIT : PICS on Page 2

Painting the ORVM black will surely add a lot more appeal to the car. I'm sure the car would look a lot more menacing than what it appears in the pictures. What are the other alloy options you had? I personally feel this design is more suited for smaller cars.
