Congratulations! I am in two minds (rather three) about ANHC VMT, ANHC VAT and Vento TDI HL. Would be following your thread closely for FE figures and service experience.

Enjoy your ride and drive safe

I did the TD of the ANHC as well, but trust me the Vento scores in suspension, ride quality and interiors. Add to that the thousands of ANHC's on the road and the TDI torque and FE and my decision was made. Looks are a matter of opinion though. Will update you further on how it goes. Happy hunting!

Re: Volkswagen Vento TDi - My Silver rocket is finally here!

Congrats Svis- it's nice to see the patient ones finally getting delivery of their Ventos. At the risk of speaking to soon, I think the worst is beind us and future VW owners are going to have it much easier from now on!

Silver is nice. I chose white over silver and no regrets but at times I lament the amount of maintenance this shade needs to keep it looking good. Silver is much easier!

And a word of advice- do get ready for when (not if) your logo gets flicked. It's best you steel yourself rather than feel bad about it later!

Do post more pics and updates- will be keeping a close eye on this thread, especially the new ICE.

Re: Volkswagen Vento TDi - My Silver rocket is finally here!

@Svis- the wipers should not be lifted for cleaning the windscreen underneath like you normally do with any car. For this there is something called a service position. To activate this you need to switch ignition to on position and then off and then push down the wiper switch once. The wipers will move to an intermediate position on the windscreen where you can lift and clean under them.

Obviously you're not going to accompany your carwash-wala downstairs everyday so this is a royal fail feature. And no matter how much you tell these guys not to, they're going to lift it up from whatever position it is to clean underneath. This apparently results in scratches on the windscreen and the bonnet as well!
