This reminds of my visit to Germany in November 2005. I was staying in Cologne. Over the 1st weekend I travelled by train (changing 3 trains) to Stuttgart. I went to Badd Canstatt of Stuttgart where the pilgrimage centre of every follower of car lover's religion like us. I was my dream and God helped me fulfill it. I had to wait at railway station called Giesen in sub degree temperature but never realised its effect due to excitement until I was back in my hotel room in Cologne. I will never forget it. Its an experience of my life time and would like to go there again. I was back in India and in 6 months was also able to buy a W123 300D.

I hope you dont mind me posting some Stuttgart snaps in your thread. I was there last year and visited only the Mercedes and Porsche museums. Most of the snaps I took at the Mercedes museum got wiped out my disc. So never had the heart to post a thread of my visit. But the Porsche snaps are there and pretty detailed. In case you have visited the Porsche museum and would like to post snaps I can request moderator to move my snaps to a separate thread

You will need a whole day to do the mercedes museum. Half a day for porsche. The merc museum is a real joy and an architectural marvel. outstanding.

Also a bit OT but if you like beer there is this little micro brewery on the plaza forget the name. look it up. fantastic wheat beer. I am not a beer drinker but really enjoyed it

Just in case you have to make a choice, Go for Mercedes. Its worth it.

Also Merc museum is closer to the city centre than the Porsche museum.

Awesome pics!! Thanks for sharings guys. The Porsche musuem pics reminded me of a chapter of my life when I was crazy over NFS 5 PU, getting excited over every subsequent picture as if unlocking cars of different eras in the game!!! Brought back a lot of memories and made me happy that Ferdinand Porsche and Karl benz were born!
