Hi All,
Here is a short story of 2 New Bulls with 2 new Riders facing Mid life crisis trying to explore the unknown
TBTS aka Birdie CL500 aka Godspeed
We planned to start for a short trip to Dam Dama lake near Bhondsi and started at 5:15 am on Saturday ( 2nd July ) early morning. I was on my TBTS'11 ( 1500 kms done ) and Jeeveshu on his CL500'11( 200 kms done ).
Since we both were going to Dam dama lake after a long time so had some confusion regarding the route however my faint memory added with some helpful directions from the passerbys made it easier for us to take the right route towards Bhondsi. Jeeveshu had to refuel his CL500 as he had tanked it up when he bought the bull and had already rode about 200 kms , after a refuel and buying a water bottle we were all set to take the route to Dam Dama lake.
The Route –Go on NH8 – Take left on road towards Sohna road – Ride approximately 15-16 kms towards Bhondsi and take a left turn – Just follow the road after that and it would take you directly to Dam dama lake.
[FONT="]Although it was a short ride however some of the challenges that we faced riding on those remote village roads were –
- A horse cart came out of nowhere on the road from a hidden bylane and I had to swerve steeply towards right hand side to save dear life however it was easy for Jeeveshu to maneuver as he was behind me
- Some insect went inside our helmets ( at different occasions ) and started buzzing in the ear and it really hurt which made us suddenly brake to get the little one out
While we were about to reach the lake I spotted a small off roading trail and asked Jeeveshu if he wanted to venture in and he happily agreed ( Pics to follow ).
Finally after all this adventure we reached Dam dama lake and called up our colleagues who were camping at a island resort there. We saw their cars parked at the riverside ( actually one is supposed to take a boat to this island resort) however we being what we are ( read adventurous ) decided to find a route by land. Upon checking with some villagers we got to know that there was a Kacha rasta towards the island and that we should be taking it at our own risk.
Now here were 2 guys ( one on TBTS’11 – 1500 kms done & other with CL500 – 200 km done ) with almost no experience on off roading trails but all spirited to take whatever comes on – after all our Bulls gave us that confidence. After a short discussion we took the route and guess what it was a treat for any enthusiast/off roader/adventure junkie. We slipped , slided , crossed slush , got bruised by the bushes and worst got stuck.. phew!! and all in a day’s work
.
Irony was that there were 3 resorts there along with Mika singhs farmhouse and we went to the wrong one due to some mis communication and then checked for the correct resort which was even further deeper , the guy out there suggested us not to go there as it had rained and the trail was all filled with water..we still went ahead but came across a densely located trail with Slush+water atleast 12-15 inches which is when we decided to turn back as it would have been almost impossible to get the bulls out if we got stuck there as it was not a beaten path and clearly looked like scarcely used one. Turning the bulls back was another challenge ( especially with the CL500 ) and almost had a fall with petrol leaking from the tank cap ( phew!!! ).
By this time we were totally exhausted and turned back towards Dam Dama parking and sipped some water and clicked few pictures , one more thing which was a back and neck breaker were our Office laptop bags which were troubling us profusely especially on the off roading trail as we had directly pushed off after work for this ride.
Finally after relaxing for a while we decided to ride back and called up our colleagues informing about this adventure and that we would see them at work on Monday.
Jeeveshu reached home around 8:45 am and me at 9:30 am after our kind of first adventurous/off roading ride and then we chatted on BBM for a while like excited school boys do after doing something new..lol.
Now that completes my first Ride story On bullet ) on the Forum . Hope the Team enjoys reading it and looking at the pictures as much as we enjoyed doing it. Signing off for now..Ride safe

Poser Ha ha
The mean machines in their natural habitat
Went inside a isolated resort and got stuck as we had to push both the machines reverse to get out. We both lost half our body water doing this
Rear tyre sunk deep and i had to walk back to Jeeveshu to help him out. Put 2 big stones and then i accelerated moderately and voila the Bull came out..Good Job Harry lol
This is where we decided to go back as the water+mud looked deep and not doable with almost NO back up
I like this BB clicked pic
Took this while riding..Check out the awesome trail
