Thank You

Thank you guys for reading the log and encouraging me to write about the trips and bearing with my pictures.

I was overwhelmed when I for some reason went to TBHP portal and saw among the hot threads this very own Kaas thread.

Thank you Team-BHP for a great platform to share and thanks a lot to all the readers.

I am overwhelmed at almost 6000 views in just a week of the log.

And for a while I too became the top of the charts at least for a day

Laluks. This so far has some of the best of your photos and also one of the best travelogues on team-bhp in terms of pictures. I am now wondering if I had visited Kaas at all.

Re: Kaas - The Valley of Flowers

Hi,
I am planning for a 4-day to Kaas valley sometime next month. Not sure of the dates yet. Here is a brief plan
Day-1: drive from Bangalore to Satara. Halt for the night
Day-2 & 3: Sight seeing around satara
Day-4: drive back from Satara to Bangalore.

Can someone guide me with the plan for day-2 and 3. Here are the places that I know of around satara
(1) Kaas flower valley
(2) Bamnoli
(3) Tapola
(4) Thoseghar water falls
(5) Chalkewadi wind mill farm
(6) Mahabaleshwar (Planning to dedicate one whole day for this. Is it sufficient? If not what are the main places to visit?)
I am actually looking for a map with these places marked around. If anyone comes across such a thing could be please post the link to it?
Thanks a lot in advance.
PS: I am aware of the t-bhp meet happening at kaas next month. If my travel is during that time I am keeping aside a day for it.

Re: Kaas - The Valley of Flowers

For some strange reason, Laluks and Bol Bolero decided to keep mum about their Kaas plans. Incidentally, while laluks has let the cat out of the bag, looks like bol bolero is still keeping quiet about it.

Would love to see some pics of Kaas from your side laluks.

No strange reasons MX6. Never knew it till I landed up in Kaas that I was going to make it. Now back from a hectic journey of 10 days, which includes Kaas, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Raigad, Pratapgad, Bijapur, Badami, Pattadakkal, Aihole, Humpi, Anagundi, Tungabhadra... some 2500+ kms.

Thanks to KSM Vtec for some crazy ideas on a friday afternoon, and my drive loving family to do this most unplanned trip. From Planning to execution it all happened in 3 hours

Picture wise, like you I was clicking more of family pics this time

@laluks,
Whoa man you were in Kaas, and we didn't even get a whiff of your visit down there! Not fair I say!
Seems like you had a great road trip. Pics are a must Sir! Family or otherwise, would love to see them!

p.s: KSM-Vtec has some answering to do! How come we aren't getting any crazy ideas from him?

BolBolero - It was like 23:00hrs start from Bangalore, 08:00-10:00 at Kaas flowers and exit. Even I didn't even get a whiff of the drive

Kaas - Tapola - Mahabaleshwar is a scenic route, and Mahabaleshwar Satara is perfect for some spirited drive

Hey Lalu,

I was just going through your TL, I know its late but its never late to congratulate something beautiful. Like all other TLs of yours, this one is also extremely wonderful. Especially all the snaps are wallpaper quality stuff.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers.

Thanks Voyageur. You just brought back some good memories by bumping this thread.

I was at Kaas one year after this visit too. Never got time to write about it. Will leave you for now with a picture from the second visit.
