Kaas

We reached Tapola by 15:00PM


We quickly got some water scooters and had some fun






This picture created a furore at home and Jr. PPG threatening strict action against me for not taking her there. If you observe carefully you can see it is heavily raining too


By 15:45PM we started our return journey back.


We reached Bamnoli by 16:15PM. A beautiful 2.5 hour boat ride costed us RS1500

I took some more pictures of Koyna.








By this time we were quite hungry since we had skipped lunch for the boat drive. We saw a Dhaba and went there.

The owner of Santaji Dhabha promised us some hot freshly cooked authentic Maharashtrian Thali. While waiting for the food I just roamed around and clicked these pictures.

When I got back the hot food was ready and we all ate to our hearts content. After our late lunch we left towards Satara by 17:15PM.

I climbed up that small hill and I saw the most beautiful sight I had ever seen in my whole life. Pictures never do justice to this place, it have to be seen.

We rolled again, and we absolutely had to stop immediately. ANHC would have thought what are these guys upto!!

Day 02, 24th September 2010

With so much of happiness filled in our minds we rolled again. This time we had to stop since mother nature joined us in our happiness.


She smiled at us, with a wonderful rainbow


We then had a nice sunset at Kaas for us.


By 18:45 we started towards Satara and reached our hotel by 19:30PM. Dumped the cameras inside and got out for a city stroll. We reached back the hotel by 21:00PM, had dinner, reviewed some of the photos and retired for the day.

Tomorrow is the D Day. The mega multi city TBHP meet at Kaas.

We also had plans to capture sunrise at Kaas. With dreams of lovely greens and pinks sleep slowly took me deep.

Superb captures and you are absolutely right when you say that this needs to be preserved.

Not sure how i missed the thread last time around. Now waiting for this years thread to start. Hope there is no ban on visitors movement in the area. But as i have read in the posts it is not possible to ban it because it is the only access to a place nearby (forget the name).

I just wrote the log yesterday only, though this trip was done in 2010

Yes, this is the road towards Bamnoli. Probably they could think of permits to restrict the numbers.

Better late than never. I used to wonder if you would ever post this. You had the best of Kaas since you reached Satara early. Ours was a "rush hour" kind of visit and we did not even go to Bamnoli to see the lake. And now I see what we missed. :(
Let us plan it again this year. And yes, the pictures in this thread are much better than some of your older threads - has the right amount of "everything". They are simply beautiful.
