Lately life appeared to be a pile of chaos with the entire family perched on some precarious positions on this pile. We all agreed we needed a break. The decided destination was Goa.

So off came the formal shoes and we slipped into our floaters and flip-flops

The bookings were made through yatra.com.
On the morning of 25th August, the main doors of the house were locked and we headed off to the domestic terminal of IGI Airport at New Delhi.
We finally reached the check-in counter of Indigo Airlines in high spirits, with smiles on our faces.

But the chaos seemed to have followed us here as well. The person manning the check-in counter could not find our names on the list of persons on the particular flight. We called up the yatra.com office and with some difficulty they put us on the evening Spicejet Flight to Goa. Apparently, the travel details had not been passed on to the airline.
Instead of leaving at 12.15 pm, we were leaving at 5.15 pm in the evening. With nothing much to do, we ate and slept for the next 5 hours at the departure terminal. What a start!!

Nothing like missing school! Even if it means just wasting your time aimlessly.

We are finally airborne by 6.15 pm.

One day lost due to yatraa and that must be big disappointment to you,
i hope, we will see lot of pics of rainy Goa.

Being in Mumbai, I have never visited Goa (can you believe that?). Plans were made but scraped by me as all I want is to be there with my first love ( my Rd350 ). Hoping to make it possible this year end.

@ASHISHPALLOD; This is the only time we could manage together, so decided to go ahead with the travel even though it was the monsoon season

@Fordmanchau; Manish, I did start with a travelogue to Rishikesh, but lost all pictures when my laptop crashed last year. Though I do have some tucked away in a pendrive somewhere, they are yet to be located.

@nomadabhi, Must visit place. We loved the lush green surroundings and the unpolluted fresh air.

Eventful start there; hope the rest of the trip went well. Bet the fresh air in Goa must've have been a relief from the Delhi heat.

I was in Goa over the weekend myself and did one thing I've never done in Goa - sit in the hotel and relax!

So, where all did you guys go?

The pick-up cab from the resort was already waiting for us. We headed off to the resort which was located on the Varca Beach, a 45 minute journey from the airport.

I marveled at the immaculately maintained Innova, ehich had clocked over 2,60,000 Kms. and was running as smoothly as a new vehicle.

Tired as we were, we checked-in and after a quick meal, headed off to sleep.

Kids were happy that the rooms were not interconnected and we would have to ring their doorbell to gain entry.

Day 1 started early with all of us exploring the resort property - beautiful lush green lawns with loungers and chairs thrown in, interspersed with walkways. A treat indeed for our concrete oppressed eyes.

Our grown-up children started acting so not their age on seeing the swings in the "kids play zone".

The toddlers decided to move away and make space for the new set, much to my embarassment

We take a walk around the property, enjoying the fresh morning air and meet this cute and friendly house cat
