They are all very good wallpaper material stuff, and the roads are very tempting to say the least. Would you have any speed limits on these roads? They look very inviting for a ride on the SBK.

The Sierra Nevada flying past you, wind in the hair, with the top down. That goes into my Bucket-List.

The American countryside is as good as any. Just look at these photographs. The subtle changes in colour. It's almost like 'live sepia'

Most of pictures are worth framing, excellent lens-work there.

Was just wondering what was in the stereo during the drive. Could you share your playlist? Thank you!

I listen to lot of Jazz and Blues. Artists like Gerard Albright, Boney James, Brian Albertson, George Benson, Richard Wright, Larry Carlton, Kirk Whalum and a whole lot more. Don't know if you're familiar with them. Lots of Blues artists also like Robert Cray, BB king, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Clapton, the late Stevie Ray Vaughn etc.

True, but it takes a lot more consideration to take my 911 for trips like this. A hint of rain or snow, she stays in the garage. The weather has to be perfect, no a/c. Parking has to be absolutely secure. I always felt 911 are simply too personal a car and best driven alone without a passenger, at least that's how I like it. But as you said, if all the factors fall in line, nothing beats it for sheer driving excitement.

i promise I'll post a travelogue of the Grand Canyon and infact all interesting national parks nearby, when we get the chance to do it.

It was an amazing two days in every sense. Mind blowing roads and incredibly beautiful locations and of course a great car to enjoy it with.

That would be fantastic VLOCT, would be keenly following your threads going forward Should admit your hold on language is simply too good.
Also have seen that you had a RD 350 way back, would you have any photos/memorabilia which you would want to share?
Not a great fan of Ducati, but still read your threads on the Duke you have cause of your language and way you present it across...

Glad you liked the Duc review. Not a fan of Duc, huh, only till you ride one and then your world changes. The RD pictures are somewhere back in India. Maybe when I'm there next, I'll dig them up. Probably all faded by now.

You had also asked about the speed limits.

Nevada - 70 mph highways - I typically do 82 mph and lonely stretches, well
California - 65 mph highways

Interior roads - typically 35 - 55 mph, both states.

To be honest have been trying hard to change my perception about the Duc's, but still not getting there. Hopefully in the future will try to make it better.
If you are unable to find the pictures do post out a thread on your experiences with the RD. They will for sure be a good read, pretty sure your memory would still be green with it

Not much happening in office on the eve of Diwali, so was trawling this forum and chanced upon your thread. Enjoyed the pics. My wife too goes "oooh" when she sees nature in its beauty so have sent her a link to the thread. Most likely, she wont notice the car. Thanks for sharing. Bomi

WHoa...lovely car and lovely photos. Those photos of the drive out of Vegas brought back memories of a drive I did in 2008 from San Francisco to the Grand Canyon via Vegas.
