Hope the travelogue has not ended yet. Waiting for more pics and updates.

OT, 'Kolaveri Di' was some other Dhanush's composition, wasn't it? 'Cause I hope that's not why you're busy and not updating the thread

If I remember it right, the roads from Goa border, till Karwar is OK, and scenic. Though there are some unexpected bad stretches occasionally.

Also, along the past few days, we have learnt and made ourselves accustomed to the truth that all journeys in a Jeep is gotta be looonngg and will consume a fair amount of energy. Infact, this very thought playing at the back of minds makes us never lose enthusiasm or energy. If at all, we feel that the energy is going down, we do something or the other to bring it back up. Most times, its silly and it works perfectly.

Re: How to drive an unknown JEEP for 1500kms - A Travel/Photologue by a n00bie JEEP'r

After Karwar, the occasional bad patches, start coming in frequently, and further on, the road gets real bad. Now.. its an entirely different feeling going through bad roads in a Jeep. We do all the precautions we took along the Nipani - Sawanthawadi road, but still it was just too much.

Poor Mony, who was seated in the back, decided to just bite-his-teeth and sit there. After all, we needed to travel and get home. But along the bad stretches, Mony discovered one thing. The difficulty in sitting at the back, is not entirely due to the jolts sent up by the leaf springs, and name-sake dampers, but also due the BAD recline angle and those pathetically uncomfortable seats. .

So, now.. that gives me an idea.. Why not put in two bucket seats with good recline angle and support.. at the back? As, I'm looking to seat only four. It would improve the experience a LOOTTT more. I've not really sat in a Jeep with bucket seats at the back, and do not know even if its practical, but I guess its food for some Jeep thinking!

Daylight starts fading, and we have crossed the half way to Mangalapuram.

We've been driving for long now. Decide that both man and the machine need a break. We stop for a quick relaxing tea and kings.
