narayanan,
I suggest you drop the idea of HH if you don't get to stay in Punnami. It is the resort that gives all the aura than the place. Also there are many valley points which u can enjoy inside the resort.
You can go in the moning and come back in the evening but then it is no fun...there is nothing to enjoy in the day time in HH, also it might get a bit hot in the afternoon...

Only when you stay in the resort in the night and early morning you can experience the cool breeze (whispering winds) and do an early morning walk and check out the sunrise etc...

If you want to go to hills, I suggest you try out Yelagiri, Yercaud, Kemmanagundi, BR Hills in the coming weekends, all within 300km range from Bangalore. May be you can try out HH later...

It is always nice to go to HH when u r from Chennai. Pls call Punnami Resort and book it (ph: 08571-279323/324). Try to book Governor's bunglow or Cottage...
Nights are very pleasant there...

Yercuad is a better bet when you are travelling from chennai, but if you have visted this earlier then look for other options.

Are there any other resorts in HH

No hotels available this weekend in HH.

I want to go to some hill station. Is there any other option apart from horsely, yelagiri, yearcaud, kodai, ooty and coorg?

It should be within 200 Km preferably.

Pleeeeeeeeese help ASAP.

Kolar is on the Old-Madras Road after Chitoor.
So, one doesn't need to go all the way to Bangalore.

Nitin Bhag
Don't mind but did you really need to engage 4WD Low Gear to drive on those dirt roads? I have done a lot worse quite easily on my 2001 Stock Matiz.
