Ratna Durg Fort is one of the fantastic locales along with the Ganapatipule beach and temple. I was not aware of the ferry facility from Ganpatipule to Guhagar. I have had food at Abhishek hotel which was famous and good those days particularly in the noon, maybe night times they serve left overs.
Thank you ukderebail for the compliments. The ferry facility has been there for a long time. Re Abhishek, even we had our lunch there and still the service and taste was strictly ok. Compared to Amantran restaurant in Ratnagiri, Abhishek was crap.

Also did not know about the Amantran restaurant. Will surely try this place when we go that side the next time.

Thanks Biju. Even we had booked the MTDC konkani house initially. But once we got this nice house away from the crowd, we cancelled the MTDC booking. You are right about the crowd. The beach adjacent to the temple is s*** crowded like Mumbai Chowpati. MTDC beaches are good and quiet comparatively. However, I bet Malgund beach is even better.

Very good photos Ashish. Especially, the temple looks awesome in the photo. It does not look like the one I visited 2 weeks back. Man, its a mess out there.

On a side note, if you had clicked the Thanks button once instead of typing thanks 2-3 times, I would have scored a double hundred of Thanks.

^^^ Thank you Ambi. You liked my new avatar? Nice.

Good you reminded about the climate.

Folks, the climate was great in G'Pule. Bearably humid during day time and sh** cold in the nights. The time between 2 AM to 6 AM was the coldest and probability of you waking up(for various purposes) due to the cold is very high. You have to gulp down the morning Tea like water, otherwise it will be like ice tea in few minutes.

Is this 'Smile Stone' similar to the one on Pune-Aurangabad road just on outskirts of Ahmednagar city? Where is this eating joint on NH4?

I guess it is similar. This one is just before Satara on the LHS on NH4 while going towards Satara from Pune. When I googled for the exact location, it turned out to be Milestone rather than Smile Stone. Anyways, you got the location.
