Re: Tadoba in January 2012

Raghunath,

Pls take the help of our tiger man in Nagpur - Dr Abheek Ghosh. You can see his outstanding TLs on Tadoba.

He is a great guy and has two excellent boys - Tejas and Parag - as part of his NGO who will be of great help during your rides. Since his NGO is also doing resrch in Tadoba these boys coming with you will be helpful to them as well.

You can call Abheek @ 7304170270[/quote]

@Fauji: Wonderful, thanks for the info. I had a old number for Dr.AG, which is now not in service. I was just wondering how to reach him....thanks again.

Sparkled,

A beautiful array of wildlife.

The first low angle landscape tells what is to unfold in the preceding pages.

The jungle fowl, jungle cat, solo spotted deer by the water, tiger, alligator, Ibis in flight and all birds have all come out very good.

Loved the landscape with the machan and the tiger sitting in the grass, this one stands out with a brighter background, distinctly outlining the big cat.

Mayur, you could use a little less saturation.
Regards,

I think my little netbook has a color calibration problem so probably the saturation is a bit strong else where. Thanks for the inputs though.

Sparkled,
Lovely TL with beautiful pictures of birds. The tiger shot is amazing. It would be nice if you could put the name of the birds along with the respective pictures. Would help wildlife enthusiasts like me to recognise and learn more about them.
Waiting for the rest of the TL.
Thanks and regards

@gd1418: Would have preferred to do that, didn't see an option available.

@Fauji: If you are reading this, can you pls PM me your e- mail ID to raghunst@hotmail.com, need some assistance.

@Sparkled: How would you rate the jeep safaris, are the drivers patient and experienced in helping animal sightings or for that you rely completely on the guide.

Drivers are very important especially since they have to knowledgable about the routes and the areas where you likely to find animals and birds that you would like to see. So getting a good guide and a good driver is as important as having a good luck to see the more elusive animals and birds.

Re: Tadoba in January 2012

This is fantastic, I have never seen a jungle cat before and this looks quite big nearly the size of small panther. What could this be?

No its not quite as big as a panther/leopard. Its much smaller almost the size of a grey Mongoose if you have seen one. For me, the jungle cat sighting was much more important than that of the tiger.
