Despite the distance; vertical and horizontal, the picture of our cars has come out very well. You could spot an ant on the car if you tried.

Really good pictures Shishir.

Cannot.
The inbuilt panorama mode in most cameras works by taking multiple snaps as you move the camera from one side to another, and then stitching them together to produce 1 single photo.

To still be able to fit the panorama photo into the same resolution as other pics without compressing/stretching anything, the stitched photo has to be reduced in width (zoomed out effect) if you were to include the entire total stitched length of all photos put together.

If you want to get around this problem, you can manually take multiple snaps and then stitch them together on your computer using certain image editing software.

Let's go see some Black Bucks this time, but lets start at 6 instead of 10 AM . We could combine it with any other activity close by if we have time left. Driving in the cold and through the fog is a different experience altogether.

It is almost 100kms and by the time you reach there you won't find any fog.

It is always better to assemble 5am and start at 5.30am so that by 7am you are at the start of the reserve. That is the time you can get too many animals or birds. Just IMO.

I agree. Earlier = more fog. We could do it on any of the 4 weekends between now and Christmas.

I completely agree with you Sir. We need to leave by 5 30 am. This time we left too late. My black car was almost like a furnace by the time we reached Madhugiri. AC could have saved but I usually don't like to switch ON the AC in rural areas as I can enjoy the pure oxygen and natural air which one doesn't find in Bangalore city.

It was quite late when we reached there. Around 11 am I think. Byt that time the sun was up and pretty hot. The only saving grace was teh cool wind as we climbed up.

That was hilarious. I can imagine how you felt (I always feel that way when I use a puny P&S camera when others bring their bazookas to any wildlife safari)

Good idea, its better to start early. But I don't think there'll be fog

Super catch guyfrmblr. Shishir is never far away from birds at any time.
