We did a full round  Some Swamps  We are done with Deer park  The road to Thiruvananthapuram  Green Apple Stick! Boy! We loved it - don't know which serving was clicked!  It was 17:30 hours and we had already spent 7 hours at Thenmala. We were quite late. Called up my mom and said we would be late, and also that I would like to go in search of some of my old favourite restaurants. She could feel the excitement in my voice - she says "go ahead, enjoy. I'll not make dinner for you" continued... |

I was completely shocked, the entire place has changed. With doubts in my mind entered the restaurant. Sat in one of the tables. I was the only one with family. A curious waiter approached me. Me : Do you still serve Chicken Roast, Chapathi and Lemon juice? Waiter : Sir  , when was the last time you visited us?Me : probably 20 years ago! Waiter : Sir! A lot has changed since then. But let me see what I can do for you. Me : Please Waiter : Give me some time ..... after thirty minutes...... Waiter : Here Sir, your Chicken roast, Chapatti. Me : Thanks a lot. .....after we eat it all up... Waiter : How was it? Me : Just the same taste as I remember. Thank you... Waiter : Sir, infact i am happy to see in my life a return customer after so many years....I am not used to this... I really don't know what to say!! Gave him some liberal tips and we got out. Palayam! Yes Palayam! How many times I have been her in my Rx100. Almost every day during my Engineering days. I am just missing all that! LIfe has taken me where all! But if I miss a place at all, it is my place, my home town. It is my Thiruvananthapuram. How much ever I try to hide it, it come out loud and clear - I AM MISSING MY HOME TOWN!!! She was so happy to see me so lost in nostalgia. With the charm every mother have, she listened to my story, echoed my feelings, joined in my happiness ...what a day it was...Thank you Mom. for being there for me. I had carried a LED TV for her from Bangalore. We set it all up and watched some TV together. It was about 02:00AM in the night when my wifey reminds me - its been 24 hours since you slept! Yes indeed I needed my rest.. I crashed dreaming about my home town.... Thiruvananthapuram - I have left her on 1997, but my mind had not even moved an inch away from there...One day I will be back here...Sleep took the better of me and dreams took over... |

She was quite happy to be with her grand children.  After a lazy morning chatting endlessly, we made some plans to visit Ponmudi, a hill station nearly 50Kms from Thiruvananthapuram. We decided to leave to Ponmudi after lunch. My mother could not join us since she had some prior commitments. Mom flagging us off for the Ponmudi Drive  We left by 12:30 hours from our home to Ponmudi continued... |

Since we had been in many adventures we just went ahead. But there is no direction boards anywhere and multiple trail exists. All we did was follow the river and went up. Also lack of direction can give you some crazy moments continued... |
